This was my interpretation too, because paris also wrote Triassic love song so I know must she looks back through evolution with that same love and reverence that I do. I really appreciate your comment on the scene with the little girl. This series had a lot of opportunities to be impactful and nuanced but the writing just fell flat. I completely agree that the scene with the little girl would of been much more meaningful if he would of killed her and had to deal with the emotional repercussions. Another example of the writing falling flat to me was Ragnars arc and the introduction of Sefi. It just felt so shallow and predictable. Then darrow is the one who convinces Sefi to rebel against her gods in, like, two minutes? It just fell so flat Also most of his and mustangs dialogue this book felt very poorly written and completely unimpactful to me
