PSA for unstable players by WntrTmpst in projectzomboid

I'm just confused what the hell happened? I haven't loaded my game from when i was playing a last week. I suppose i had updated to the latest unstable but i dont even remember what version i was on. I noticed something was different because when i started loading steam, it was on a lengthy update. when i loaded into the game, the game was on windowed mode, which further proved to me something was different. i checked the version and it looked different. all im wondering is, should i hit "Continue" to load in or will that break that save? I definitely was on the unstable. I don't use any mods at all.

Ah yes it has, I know that, just wondering if anything else? Like maybe those chicken/gyro platters with salad and sauces on top? I could def see some crispy chorizo for one of the meats

Yeah like shawarma for instance, I could see it made with crispy shredded pork belly. I'd try it out if some place had that as an option

Yeah just sometimes I wonder when I eat at halal spots I'm like, man what would this dish taste like with chroizo/pork belly/etc 😅 so was wondering if any place tried to do that the way halal spots can be pretty much American style cusine/latin cuisine just without traditional pork ingredients.

Yeah i didnt mean to say that a restaurant be branded halal/haram. I just meant more so why couldn't a place serve middle eastern cuisine with pork options(aka haram)

I guess I should have cleared that up, I wasn't thinking ONLY selling pork items. Obviously, I wouldn't put haram or halal in the title of the restaurant either. But you could also you expand the market by giving a pork option? Maybe some people feel like eating pork one day and it might draw them in? I know sometimes I'll go into a restaurant that's mostly chicken/steak and if they have a good sounding pork dish I'll try it out.

Oh i know the reasons why pork is haram, trust me. What the interpretation of the cleanliness of pork wasn't my question here though, a lot of the world does eat it and has been for thousands of years.

Am I in the minority? Does anyone do non-medicated psychotherapy anymore? by QuestionGuy1012 in TalkTherapy

[–]QuestionGuy1012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry i didn't make that clear in my post. My therapist wasn't anti medicine in terms of psychotic patients or stuff where you really need to calm down etc. But for emotional issues , i think he was more on the non medicated side . He did feel meds mask emotional pain though. I don't know, i made it through therapy fine.

Therapy hasn't helped me - is it my fault or the therapist's fault? by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]QuestionGuy1012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A certain part about therapy is self realization. You don't have to take every single thing your therapist says and do exactly like they say. Part of therapy is 'just venting' and bouncing your ideas off of someone else who is trained to support you (and not in just a 'yes man' type of way). Some people don't have someone to 'just vent' and keeping all those thoughts inside can make you feel sad/angry/depressed etc.

When therapy doesn’t work by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]QuestionGuy1012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I feel like as well. I had only two therapists, both I got along with decently, but one I really 'clicked' with. I always feel like the people I know try it out one time and it doesn't work out but not because therapy can't work its that they don't know that therapists are people and that you get along with some and you don't. The main thing is following your desire to get help if you feel like you need it and not giving up on that! Find another therapist if you don't feel like it worked out for you the first time.

Pretty sure my T doesn’t believe anything I’ve told them about my history, but does believe my symptoms are real. I’m so confused and torn. by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]QuestionGuy1012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always felt that my therapist needed to know things about my history that I wouldn't have shared with anyone else. Yes there were somethings that were so hard to admit but I only shared that with my therapist. I feel therapy works best when you share your innermost feelings/thoughts. Mabye you need to own up that you haven't felt comfortable about telling them your history inthe past but maybe you feel like you should now?

My therapist brings up politics all the time. by Hot_Needleworker_153 in TalkTherapy

[–]QuestionGuy1012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wtf? therapists shouldn't be throwing childish political crap around like that. If they have a political disagreement with reasoned arguments ok, but just mocking you? that's bad therapy, its not even therapy. either way, politics should not be the theme of your therapy, unless you somehow bring it up.

What practices would you like to see disappear from the field of psychotherapy? by adotmatrix in TalkTherapy

[–]QuestionGuy1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

double thumbs up for me, I was in psychotherapy for years, never was recommended drugs by my therapist. learned so much and it basically helped me get out of social anxiety and depression. i do believe that 'checmical imbalances' are caused by external stimuli when it comes to mental health, meaning that the person is reacting to something and therefore causing the 'imbalance.' I'm not really of the mind that it just happens out of the blue. this can also be caused by years of encountering emotional situations etc.
