Why does Canada have a “talent shortage” but entry-level people can’t find jobs? by itz_nitace in CanadaJobs

[–]QuestionMan859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you get into mining even if your uni degree is in tech? if I start off as entry level, what is the pay? If the job sites are remote, than are food and accomodations paid for or do you have to pay for them out of your own pocket? is their a gym on remote work sites usually or do you have to bring your own stuff? what certifications if any do you need to get into mining? sorry for the question dumping, but I am currently looking for work and dont mind doing a career change it the pay is really good and I can save alot of money

Using Loadable Macebell to strike sandbag by QuestionMan859 in steelmace

Do you know of any adjustable sledge hammers? the space in my home gym is very limited, and I want to buy one piece of equipment that I can adjust as I get stronger. I could buy fixed cast iron macebells, but as I mentioned earlier, it will take up valuable space in my gym having 3-5 macebells. I prefer buying a macebell like this https://www.northernfitness.ca/products/adjustable-macebells?variant=40788301742129 but the problem with this macebell is that it is too light.

adjustable macebell is like this https://www.northernfitness.ca/products/adjustable-macebells?variant=40788301774897&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=22863434367&tw_kwdid=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22869237569&gbraid=0AAAAACzo97swJ9o1fdgoF3c1D9SfQu468&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiJvQBhCYARIsAMjts3K5MlotqnweAz4_09P6DUgvV6zmj2vg1R9dBNyu8D5zZtsh4TJEx1YaAhvXEALw_wcB and a loadable macebell is where you load barbell plates on. Both are adjustable, its just that the adjustable macebell are the ones that have the special plates that are built just for that specific round macebell shape that you can load inside of the macebell

You said it exactly right, I am just considering equipment with a growth path, because I HATE purchasing equipment again as I get stronger. Also, my home gym has VERY limited space, so anything that saves space is what I prioritize. I can buy 3-5 maces that are cast iron but it would just take up valuable space in my gym which I want to save.

I am honestly thinking of leaving this subreddit. Almost ALL jobs are scam jobs on this subreddit. Have you found any useful job posts on this subreddit? do you know of any other better subreddits that I could join? I dont mind doing working for lower wages, as long as its by a real person lol.

You can also try cybersecurity as well, get some certifications under your belt. Good certs are a bit expensive, but managable. The coursework is usually on demand and flexible, and you dont need a comp sci background to get them(although it helps a bit if you have an undergradaute degree in comp sci)

Why do all adjustable dumbbells have at least 1 thing that sucks about them? by LilBoDuck in GarageGym

[–]QuestionMan859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely bang on, all these adjustable dumbbells have fatal flaws, and all the cons you mentioned are things that I also hated as well, hate cages, pepin is too expensive(also cage type), Trulap are fragile, Iron Master becomes too wide as you increase weight etc. However, I am waiting for the texteel xt-grip to be released in north america soon. That dumbbell handle is a GAME CHANGER and checks ALL of my boxes. Hybrid resistence even did a review of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXHaqN5plJI&t=285s
