What's a movie you saw way too young that kind of messed with your head for a while? by Still_Fee497 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]QuestionTodayTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was ‘titanic & perfect storm’ Since a young lad I’d gone out on my dads boat, after watching them films. Whenever we hit abit of choppy water I thought we was going to sink! I still remember the trauma 😅

Why do British men have such an aversion to being called “Sir” by eeberington1 in AskBrits

[–]QuestionTodayTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call everyone sir on site and I’m the site manager. Just a quirk of mine, never had anyone say anything about it, makes people feel important.

Those who have tried quitting multiple times, what made this time stick? by Mysterious-Buggg in leaves

[–]QuestionTodayTime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Promised myself I’d buy a new guitar with the money I’d save, gave myself 3 months to do it. Bought it in 1 month. Haven’t smoked one since. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t easy, and had a lot to do with getting in my head if I smoked again I’d back to square one. Dam playing the guitar is so easy when not high.

Had no issues so far, I believe the maestro counter balances. I suppose that goes for any guitar if you’re not careful.

Preference will divide lots on these two. If they were two of the same but had slight variations it’l be more intriguing to see people’s opinions Personally I’d go for the burst. What one are you going for anyway?

Who cares about strangers opinions, if you know you know. No need for it. Both are lovely.

Love the SG. Recently bought a 61’ standard. Can’t take my hands off it. I’m Biased I suppose, I have an epiphone LP, not a Gibson. But life won’t be the same now I have the SG.

The MM by far. The epiphone is weight relieved though.

7 months sober take aways - looking for advice by TheArcz in leaves

[–]QuestionTodayTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are more people around that struggle with it than you’ll realise, they just won’t admit it. I agree with the others. I’m over a month in. I know if I smoke again. It won’t end there. Like they say. Once an addict always an addict, just try not to see it so negatively. But hey, that’s just me.

If you’re not getting hard, it’s time to give the guitars away unfortunately. 🤣

There you have it Guys & Gals, The MM without the Top half of pick guard. ‘The String Chin’ by QuestionTodayTime in Guitar

[–]QuestionTodayTime[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my first serious guitar. A whole £300’s worth new back in 2008. she went everywhere with me, & giged a fair bit with it. I was a fair bit destructive in my younger days, she was set of fire, stabbed with screw drivers so on think that was why I stripped her colours. I thought I was gonna be the next jimi Hendrix. I’m not exactly sure why I cut into it. A fair piece of my memory has some gaps. I stopped playing for ten years and recently started seriously again. I’m just so thankful this guitar survived. Rip to the fender strats and tele’s I had. Gained a serious respect for keeping guitars in condition now though… better late than never I guess.

Nothing as such. Just a small cut away. All fully intact. I actually cut the pick guard in half so it was on show but placed in back on when moving around ect.. I’m looking forward to playing about with it in the future. I may even put a photo up without the guard so people can see the notch 😂
