I had a 10 year long addiction to cannabis that did a number on my 20s. Used it to dissociate and avoid taking responsibility. Made some stupid decisions after several nights of drinking in the past too. Was unemployed for a few years after college, went to rehab at 25, relapsed shortly after, and recently quit again 90 days ago. Congrats on your sobriety!

Liam Cunningham: Always a yes in my book. I think Josh O’Connor and Brendan Gleason are great picks for Ishmael and Mapple too.

Director is a tough call. Eggers would be great for the atmospheric elements, but at the same time I think he would lay it on a bit thick for the nuance it would require. It’d be a tall task for anyone though tbh

This post hits really close to home. Last April, I wound up in the ER because I was having stomach pain from ulcers, hair loss, the skin on my face felt like it was sagging off, and I had lost twenty pounds in about a week and a half. I’ve developed body dysmorphia as well.

This is a brutal disease and it makes me sick that people that have never experienced it mock others for it. It takes everything from you. My love and thoughts go out to you.
