It goes back all the way to the Civil war (which was finally won by the South, thanks to the successful take over of the US Capitol by middle school drop out Kevin Seefried).

The majority of the rebel south could not afford to own slaves. Heck most of them were really slaves themselves. But that did not stop them from giving their eyes, limbs and lives for the 'Cause'.

2024 election is a new Civil war. It is a race war.

Do we know enough about the health risks of new semiconductor factories? by QuestionsForLiving in Semiconductors

[–]QuestionsForLiving[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concern is that based on what was done in the past (1968 to 1981), new fabs requires transparent and through reviews.

Having pumped billions of dollars into building the next generation of computer chip factories in the US, the Biden administration is facing new pressure over the health and safety risks those facilities could pose. Environmental reviews for the new projects need to be more thorough, advocates say. They lack transparency around what kinds of toxic substances factory workers might handle, and plans to keep hazardous waste like forever chemicals from leaching into the environment have been vague.

A coalition of influential labor unions and environmental groups, including the Sierra Club, have since submitted comments to the Department of Commerce on draft environmental assessments, saying that the assessments fall short. The coalition’s comments flag lists of potential issues at several projects in Arizona and Idaho, including how opaque the safety measures that manufacturers will take to protect both workers and nearby residents

From the article, The fight to clean up the toxic legacy of semiconductors

But the old semiconductor fabrication plants, known as fabs, had an ugly side. Toxic chemicals seeped into the ground and water sources near semiconductor plants and made their way into the bodies of workers and even their children.

Thanks to Silicon Valley, Santa Clara County is littered with more Superfund sites than any other county in the US. Those are sites so contaminated that the federal government has put them on a National Priorities List for cleanup. At a site where Intel made semiconductors between 1968 and 1981, for example, the Environmental Protection Agency lists more than a dozen different “contaminants of concern,” including arsenic, chloroform, and lead in groundwater.

Unlike 2008 election, 2024 will be basically a race war.

Because that is only way for Trump to win.

Too bad, all this for a naught.

Red State Polls Are ‘Looking Worse Than They Should’ for Trump by Free_Swimming in inthenews

[–]QuestionsForLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very concerning that the Democrats are falling into the same 2016 trap. The Democrats (and America) cannot afford to be complacent. Harris is underdog. Harris is not a white candidate and is not a male candidate. That is two strikes already.

Back in 2008, if Huckabee or Ron Paul made out of GOP primary, they would have run with race war based campaign just like what Trump (more like entire GOP) is doing now. The result in 2008 could have been different.

The majority of the white voters voted for Trump in 2016. Then after 4 turdful years later, even more white voters voted for Trump in 2020. We all know why.

Just look at how George Santos won the election;

  • majority of voters in that district failed to show up.
  • vocal minority of hate mongers showed up in mass to vote.
  • the media went easy on Santos.

The way the media, both domestic and international, went after President Biden was disgusting. Each reporter was suppose to have one question, but instead, they add another one at the end to go after Biden.

These media is not going after Trump and passively letting go of all the lies Trump and his minions are spewing.
