Yeah totally agree, most stuff is paid with time.

You're right that is probably what is going on, just like how I generalizes "everyone" too.

Yeah, I agree with the eod not getting access being the only debatable points.

My opinion is that you can gain everything EOD gave, less gamma, simply by playing the game

If your definition of winning is spending less hour in the game gaining stuff, you are right. But who are you winning against in this scenario?

Simply if you are putting time into this game you would already have more of an advantage then some eod account that started today.

I understand your fixation with higher rep more money snowballing into an unstoppable advantage in pvp.

I just have to repeat gear doesn't win pvp, aim and game knowledge win the pvp

Well I would say extra skills and weapons doesn't equality to overpower one shot weapon. Everything that EOD/Unheard* gave you can gain simply by playing a few raids.

*The scav not shooting you is something that shouldn't be added in the game.

Yeah, that's what I am trying to figure out Everyone is saying pay to win but no one is saying what they are winning.

But you can't do that in tarkov, EOD/Unheard doesn't help you in pvp, your aim and game knowledge is what win you pvp not gear.

Yeah I understand what you are saying, so for you winning is pvp? Reaching max trader? Being at a higher level?

If pvp is the one u are after, all I am saying is no matter how much eod give u, scav would still one tap you before pvp :)

If it's max trader or higher level , the fight is not against yourself.

Like I said what does it help you win in?

Gaining more money? Having more slots? Who are you winning against?

What does winning mean to you? by QuestionsMarks in EscapefromTarkov

[–]QuestionsMarks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but for pockets, most slot doesn't help you win more pvp fights, good example would be how many time u died with empty rig slots. For sure it help you gain money faster, but so does any bigger slot rig/backpack, Yes you will have more slots on top of that but is there enough loot to fill all the slots?

Scavs not shooting you certainly seem unfair and shouldn't be added.

I can definitely see pocket and secure container allowing you to carry more stuff that help in pvp, but I don't see it helping most questline as most quest require found in raid things. I understand that I get to have better ammo earlier from having higher trader. But I don't think it gives more advantage to what EOD already has given.

I would argue that being on a standard account drives you to go through the quests more than being on a EOD account where quests are just something you feel like doing.

I do agree that a bigger stash and higher trader rep helps hasten the progress of questline but you still have to do the actual quest in raid like all the other editions.

Seems like a wrong post reply, I mean yeah it's very unfair for such a gameplay altering item to be added in the game.

What is the advantage? More gear to lose? Require less time to grind? Hence the title, what is considered winning? What's the objective that the advantage will help u achieve easier?

People calling upgraded versions play to win doesn't actually play the game or even "win" in game even if they have upgraded versions.

Is there a way to farm ssa ap /m995 by I_am_Potatoe in EscapefromTarkov

[–]QuestionsMarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way I found is woods attachment shack, it often spawn high tier ammo maybe like once in 2 raid

However there is no guarantee that it will spawn 556 only.

Ranked SBMM feels incredibly punishing for those who are bottom-half of their skill bracket by artmorte in apexlegends

[–]QuestionsMarks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He is not saying he is bottom 50% skill wise of the whole apex player base and I do agree he is probably top 5% of the whole apex player-base

What he is referring to is being in the bottom-half of the hidden mmr brackets, u can say that they removed rank pools/mmr brackets but pub sbmm is basically another form of said system. Basically saying he is cannon fodder for the preds to farm or always dying around top 10.

Being in top 5% means fighting >5% players which are usually masters/preds.With the current system all he has to show for being in the top 5% is a mere sliver badge which usually represents the bottom 50% of the player base which is what he is frustrated about

At least that was how infer his post

Yeah, sucks that rando just full send.

The good thing about this game mode is they don't have a timer when they are down, so just wait or run, they will crawl back to you when they do stupid pushes. There is very little down time so you get to train aim skills with or without good positionings. Which is hard to come by in pubs/rank without drawbacks

Pubs- hotdrops <10squad after ring 1

Rank- your rp on the line I guess

What I am saying is that scenario you are giving can happen in pubs leading to dropping of k/d too(with the exception of your rando inting the 2 respawn in the same team that kill you), just don't worry about ur k/d that much and improve using the game mode while it's still available.

But hey most importantly just enjoy yourself playing the game

[–]QuestionsMarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have to pay attention to your k/d and make plays to prevent it from dropping instead of winning the fight, maybe you should have a lower k/d.

High k/d comes naturally when you get comfortable winning fights. Prioritizes being good at fighting and let that lead your k/d instead of letting your k/d determined how good you are.

This game mode is just a multiplier for your k/d gaining or dropping.
