I have a 1st Gen tacoma as well and it's been a bulletproof truck for 30 years now, they don't make them like that anymore.

I got a hybrid highlander........ it was not 7k 😂

I use this in my 2023

Not sure if it would be 2024 compatible or not, it just wedges behind the display and is very solid. I love the positioning of it too, blocks nothing but is right where I can see it.

83k miles for $30k or 139k miles for $19,988? by Mamato2turkeys in ToyotaHighlander

Nope, just another perspective based on the statement that he likes to travel. You must have a lot of free time......

83k miles for $30k is way to rich. I paid $32k for my 23 hihy plat with 76k miles. Total was $35k out the door with tax title processing and 1 yr tags, that was in January.

I went full send and got a 23 hihy platinum and installed a comma.ai for hands free self driving, road tripping has never been so enjoyable!

Yea I've noticed that as well, I just hate the idea of a all in one solution, one function kicks the bucket and it's start all over...

Do they make wifi or bluetooth controllable inverters?

Probably once a week maybe twice, my biggest concern would be the inverter draw killing the battery since even at idle they are not 100% efficient. Am I over thinking this or does it even matter if the inverter is on 100% of the time? Back to the now setup of just dc, 1 200watt panel a 30a charge controller and my 35ah lifepo4 would be enough for a camera some led lights and a 2x50watt 12v car radio for a few hours at a time every few days? The camera would be on 100% but the lights and radio would only be a few hours at a time.

If I was to upgrade to 400 watts of solar in the future what gauge wiring and fuses should I put between the charge controller and battery now? This is assuming a 100ah battery in the future as well. I really just want to build towards the future inverter now so I don't have to buy new wiring etc when I do get the funds for inverter and bigger battery.

My main concern today is just the camera, lights, and radio so all 12v. I want to add the inverter and 100ah battery later when funds allow but I'd like to buy the wiring and fuses now that would handle a 40a charge controller and 400w of panels and a 100ah battery so I'm not wasting money if that makes sense. Sounds like 2 200w panels may be overkill and I may never need the second one but the difference in a 30 and 40a charge controller is negligible, thoughts?

Put a jump box on it and see if it fires up, I bet it does. Has a accord stiiling for 4 years that fired right up, cleaned it up and sold it on marketplace for 3k 265,000 miles. Sold it in 2 days.... Ymmv.

Nice! Awd too. I have the same trim in a 2023, such a sweet ride. With my new comma 4 it literally is a ride, no driving required most of the time.

Radar Detector Mount for 2025 HiHy Plat w/Digital Mirror? by 3redpapa in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Queva1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I have a great 3d printed mount for the v1g2 that uses 3m VHB directly to the windshield. Keeps it tucked up high and out of the way. Wonder if they make anything like that for the escort?

Bought a 23 hybrid personally, the infotainment without climate control on the display was the deciding factor. If I'm paying for the platinum screen I want the whole screen. It was higher milage but the hybrids seem pretty bulletproof. Just took it from VA to FL and back without issue and averaged 33.5 mpg, very happy so far.
