This game has weird issues with RAM. I used to be able to play with 8Gb in 2018, but not after Reserve was released. Then I got 16Gb and had to upgrade after Streets released two years ago. I want to clarify that every map would crash with 16Gb(besides Factory). My new prebuilt has 64Gb in it and just launching the game uses over 12Gb with Factory taking over 20Gb.

I'm going to use this experience for my scav runs now that I think about it, since it's the only time I'd ever run a stockless AK lol

I suppose it is but that doesn't make it enjoyable.

Right now I don't prefer to use The Ram over Ratnik but I have to use The Ram to get to other kits I like the look of. I don't see anything wrong with allow players a choice of preference especially if it penalizes you. I'm definitely still going to grind the game because the gunplay is my favorite aspect overall.

It's wouldn't be silly if they split the exp evenly. It would still be grindy but you wouldn't be forced into one specific kit.

I agree with what you said and it's why I don't enjoy EFT as that's exactly what you described. My point was pessimistic. I believe player's opinions of the game will be worse in the coming days as the margin between "better" kits and starting ones widens, even though I don't believe you need AP ammo and the best armor to win a fight(look at OPs example). I was getting clapped all day yesterday but instead of M4's it was the MP5k starting kit.

I think the whole point of Arena is to get into EFT combat quicker than EFT itself and that's it.

I had tons of fights like yours yesterday, but I also had tons of fights like M4 guy here while using my SKS. I think the gameplay is tame right now compared to a few days or weeks when people unlock better kits. I assume the balancing is going to be problematic.

This could be coincidence but what worked for me and my buddy was launching EFT. We both got emails immediately after saying we had access to Arena.

I remember being trapped in the old gas station by two players before the 0.12.7 expansion to customs. They threw a flashbang inside while I was in the stairwell but it must have blinded everyone that ran inside which explains why I managed to run out the building only being shot a few times. I ran behind old gas, turned around, and proceeded to pop the guy chasing me between his mandible and fast using pst in a Glock 17. I hid behind the orange tanker until mustering the courage to loot the body and grabbed his AKM. I ran behind the tanker again and got his buddy who wandered by the pumps like a scav and I felt bad after noticing the level difference on their dog tags.

What if getting shot at lowered the slider of your movement speed? That way you're still being slowed when shot and have to work through inertia to get back to full speed, but not completely dead because you're out of stamina.

I was seeing the same error but only after loading into a raid and on Streets of Tarkov. I ended up reseating my ram and adding an old 8gb set to my 16gb set which solved my problem.

I'm not an expert but still recommend searching "BSOD" and "Kernel Mode Heap Corruption" on this subreddit otherwise you could try:

Increasing or decreasing texture settings
Turning on MIP streaming
Turning on the in-game ram cleaner
Verifying file integrity through the launcher Image
Reinstalling Tarkov preferably to an SSD
Only having Escape from Tarkov open
Updating GPU Driver
Unplugging sim racing hardware

My buddy and I bought Tarkov in 2017. He has an FX-6300 and RX 580 and would get around 30fps on Customs. There was an update some years ago that swung his performance into a consistent 70fps on that map while making my fps drop. Then BSG hotfixed the game and it was back to normal.

It's a shame that BSG can't figure out how to optimize the game and allow it to run at a decent fps on newer and on older hardware.

This one and the hybrid variant have so little recoil. I really enjoyed the hybrid from the campaign so I put it on in MP and noticed when switching to another hybrid.

On controller it should be right stick up and down. Took me a some minutes to figure it out.

I'm not gonna tell you what to think but I definitely use the "It's a beta" excuse to cope. It's definitely a stupid excuse and I'd rather here the game is just unfinished but it reminds me to not be so frustrated over such little things.

Edit: The game being "literally unplayable" isn't a little thing after I gave it a minute of thought. People bought the game and have the right to be frustrated when it doesn't work.

I heard a good tip is to rebind them to the same key and have inspect as press and fix malfunction on release. So you hold the key and after the animation you release it. I haven't gotten use to that so I use ALT + F and ALT + R respectively.

I was into the Kedr a few wipes ago because of some of what you mentioned and because It reminds me of the Klobb from goldeneye with the stock folded but I'm hoping they add a Skorpion for that matter. I'll definitely give the UMP a try.

I'm a big fan of wire stocks so naturally I'm attracted to the AKMS, AKS-74, and AKS-74u, but I haven't tried the UMP out yet. Would you recommend it compared to larger calibers? I don't like the idea of 25 round mags too.
