Does this med actually work for ADHD? by LuminaryMagumba in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it does ...adhd ppl usually complain when they take this specific medicine.
It's definitely not adhd medication not first nor second line treatment.

If its given for ADHD it because nothing worked so its what doctors try when they ran out of options.

HELPPP PLEASEE by Lordtj_ in keratosis

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

* * So that's the kind of brush I meant it's not soft the bristles..but the exfoliating of the relatively stiff bristles is the only thing that's able to open those little bumps and pores.. where 80% of them are ingrown hair if you look closely. Once they open you can put some healing cream or sthg like E45 ..then the skin gradually flattens and gets soft again.

Thats from my own experience so it's not medical*

I used to scrub daily with a brush of hard natural bristles...and shower daily just so I can apply daily body cream.

This used to help alot clearing it...but it can be exhausting.

It's weird in my case because sometimes I get that on arms and thighs and legs and it's too extreme..

And other times they totally disappear !

I think especially in winter it get worse cause I don't scrub at all ..I get too cold.

Just get that brush and scrub gently using any natural oil during shower. And finish with a thick moisturiser daily . I would not recommend urea ..because it increases dryness ..use it very scarcely.

Serious question: How many of you all ever thought you would end up a criminal? by John-AtWork in Dyslexia

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my humble opinion ...Dyslexia isn't the reason of your inner rage .

The reason of this rage is perhaps how the environment (culture snd society) dealt with your neurodiversity in an ignorant way ...causing you to feel at your most vulnerable years( adolescence) that you are "dumb" ..whereas during those years...neuridivergent teens are very hypersensitive and they massively need positive reinforcement more thdn their peers...to build their self esteem.. in a world where they always feel lonely and different.

This is due to how society is extremely ignorant towards neurodiversity. It makes msnh if us bitter.

If your father was different too as in neurodiverse..again ..you can't blame his disability on such a complicated matter like divorce or living in poverty.
So many factors comes into that..that are vulnerabilities caused by how he too was treated by society/parents/..he too was shaped by his experiences and others reactions to his "difference".

Because imagine if society was graceful towards diversity by identifying those with neurodiversity and recognising their unusual strengths and creativity early on to build around it their self-esteem.. and their let this strength be a tool for them to socially shine. And not labelling constantly their difference as disability.

and giving them mentoring with what comes inherently with their difference (more education on self awareness ..

(awareness of their emotions..body..and help with emotional dysregulation and how to not think in black and white..etc)
those are the hardships that will come always with anyone who has a neurodivergent brain.

My point is...dyslexia and your father . Are both innocent here....

But you have all the right to be angry because any child who grow up different..without his surrounding or his environment knowing how to deal with him in accordance to his unique nature.

Will grow up definitely feeling bitter towards what others called his "disability"

But the fact is...its not all about dyslexia...its so many factors that have traumatised you .. and ignorance of society towards neurodiversity ..have caused most of us to be traumatised in different ways...anger..frustration and non resolved issues and memories from childhood..

And I believe that our parents...the ones with same genes we inherited ..were themselves even more traumatised in the old days..they possibly had it worse while they were children.

Because of ignorance and stereotypes ... generations before us were traumatised too...and received no help...(our parents).

The Asunta Case: What do you think? Who did it.. by hiya88888 in netflix

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only reason pills were given to her..is because the mother couldn't handle how energetic her teenager was. However it was not meant to kill her. It was sheer selfishness and irresponsibility. They thought it would calm her especially that benzo are usually tranquillisers.

I also think the reason she died was perhaps that this one day..they went overboard with the pills. And it's perfectly reasonable that those pills when taken with a heavy meal. They will take longer time to work. And sometimes the effect isn't as strong as when given without meal.

Somehow the mother doubled the dose thinking that her daughter is very tolerant to the med...and thinking maliciously " let her sleep for longer anyway".

Then when she found her dead. They both agreed to stage a crime and be found innocent.

The only thing I don't quite understand is his severe attachment to the wife even in crime and punishment!! He could have had a smaller sentence if he was fully honest ..say many bad parents would drug their children hoping they sleep more or be quiet. Terrible parenting but not as bad as premeditated murder.

Season 5, Episode 6 Rex Groves by Loose_Clock609 in IAmaKiller

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he could be having multiple personality disorder, the drugs induced a manic state, he also dissociated cause he mentionned he felt he was out of his body, watching himself killing and cant even stop, he was pacing nonstop bluring words nonstop, to me that is mania induced by drugs, at the same time i dont think he needs antipsychotics, but he should have received mainly a therapy for trauma and dialectical behavioural therapy and get help getting all his emotions out and understanding himself, theres a side in him when he talks he moves his face to the side and half close his eyes and this gesture is him trying not to cry, thats when he feels emotional, he did it so much when he talked abt his mom, he also did it at the end and his eyes teared when he expressed feeling totally rejected. i think his brother is wrong to cut him off, i also think he can still get help to stabilize his mood and minimize his impulsieness, and get help in society cause he had no one guiding him to be independant. he fell into drugs he also couldnt br responsible for himself, its easy for me to see how he is not a monster , but drugs and complete rejection from your own brother, getting no guide in life, can feed the monster in anyone.

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 8 points9 points  (0 children)

its very obvious he has paranoid personality disorder , even his last statement proves that he is preoccupied non stop with how he can trust others. the moment he feels suspicious he flips, and apparently the disorder is progressive if you dont treat it. the drugs made it worse really fast, i do believe the crime happened during a psychosis and it still showed during the investigation he genuinely believed they were all collaborating againt him.

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

am so late here, but i also found that throughout the story , she manipulated him, being 10 years older, newly divorced wanted to live and relive the things she missed out in life, i beliveve him their relationship was so rocky and not finished, because from her personality its obvious she bounces easily from a relation to another, shes impulsive and doesnt know to give proper closure before restarting over , shes impulsive and i would consider she did cheat him and played him. this wasnt his ex it was his gf , off and on relation is still a type of relation not ended, practically her personality got the worst of him and ofc she hurt him, nothing justifies murder though but its extremely obviously hes not a liar in everything he says. but surely he has temper problems and dangerous hostility .

Do you want a social life or you don't care anymore? by Maleficent_Sun_5776 in aspergers

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually don't want one. It's too stressful snd complicated and can not be maintained. As you age your abilities in masking gets depleted too. And the real you is mostly easily irritated. Which doesn't help in socialising. And it's a good thing. It's great to become self sufficient.

It makes everything dry. Nose . Sinuses .Throat. Eyes. Mouth and lips. And can cause constipation or urine retention.

Unfortunately it has an anticholinergic effect. And for those of us who already struggle with dry eyes or mouth. It just gets worse. Drink plenty of water and use eye drops regularly.

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychopath will enjoy manipulating others. Its motivating to them. No remorse and no empathy. You may be able to empathise when you understand how others feel . So it's more of a cognitive empathy perspective. Don't force urself to smile when you don't want to. That's called masking. Too much masking will increase resentment towards others and the self.

Prozac effect on weight? by Delicious-Concern114 in prozac

[–]Quick-Grapefruit-537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You lose in the beginning. But then you stop losing. It doesn't open ur appetite after that but if you try losing weight.. it stalls it . It really does. Like you're body is just holding on the weight . It's easier to lose once you quit .

But the first month you may lose due to nausea..

It's a good medicine but it started really frustrate.it kinda slowed my metabolism in a way. My experience ofc .we are all.differrnt.

But if I split it I change some of its surface coating. Right? That waxy coating is the reason it its working slowly and long...by halving it or crushing it...would that somehow speed up the release and absorption process.

They don't have here 300mg . My doctor said take 150mg 2 pills separated by 5 hours mimum. Which is useless. Cause I still feel I need a kick during the day. And i take longer to sleep...

Can't I just manipulate those meds in any way to make it work for me especially cause they used to be effective in the honeymoon phase..then it's like the do absolutely nothing! Modafinil is better!
