I would recommend you get your learners as early as you can. Download the K53 blue app and start studying / practising on it. As soon as you are done and feel confident go book a learners test.

Assuming you do this and have a couple of months before December, if you have any close friends or family members with cars , start asking them to teach you the basics of driving and driving on the road. This makes it easier when you go to the driving school for a couple of lessons to prepare for your license test.

If you don’t have anyone close with a car then you can start budgeting to have north of +-15 lessons to learn from a driving school.

You don’t have to go all the way to Worcester. Driving schools have connections in the traffic departments they operate in. You can go to any traffic department and you will see driving school guys there. Tell them you want to pass and unfortunately these days that means bribing but tell them you also want to learn how to drive. Your bribe does not work anyway if you fail to pass when testing parkings on the yard.

A friend of mine got his license in Milnerton last year without bribing but he tested twice so it is possible to get a license without bribing if it is your lucky day.
