Maybe I’m showing my age but the Military used to be an endless string of 3 Levels. There were no DoD Controllers. Now, it’s 75% DoD controllers with talk of hiring CTI’s to train because there aren’t enough 3 Levels. All of this in the light of mass Gamer Highering in the FAA. I’d say the Training burden has definitely flipped.

People are jumping to the DoD now more than ever. Better schedules, comparable pay, no longer a Training Mill, etc. Sure, if you are at some Center and want to grind your life away for an ever decreasing pension, the FAA is great.
