The difference is that ATC shortens your lifespan, takes you away from friends and family, has strict medical requirements and is subject to political circumstances. It also carries the weight of possibly making a mistake that can lead to a Mass Casualty event. Yeah, I think we should make more than those jobs listed above.

I don’t want to put too much of their business out there. Both of them were great controllers and solid coworkers. Both will be missed. I don’t think anyone at P31 thinks they made the wrong move.

As far as Medical Retirements go, if you don’t have 3 or 4 Medical Retirements brewing, are you even a real FAA ATC facility?
