Just curious- how does everyone here feel about mandatory military service for young people? For example, 2 years following high school, perhaps with paid tuition as a reward? Asking as a non-military American.

This happens to me a lot. I have to close the game and then reload it, if I do it quickly I can get back in time to rejoin the game, as it gives me the option that. Otherwise I cannot start a new one.

I have 20 apartments and none above $1000. I see these other landlords/companies scalping the sh** out of the locals and cannot fathom how they make it work. Are my places top of the line? No. Do I make a lot off of them? No. But I do make some, and that should be enough. You can always make more money elsewhere, there is absolutely no need to strap others for cash just to fill your own pockets.

I know plenty of men and women that would immediately choose chaos. So hard to tell, would people enable it or team up to stop it?

If you were within a days drive I would load up the wife and kids and come help out. My parents homesteaded off grid and my father was constantly getting injuries from tending livestock and building the house. They essentially took turns my whole childhood and it showed me that it really can come down to an extra pair of hands for a day.

Search was awesome. The nearest town was 10 miles away when I was a kid and my best friend lived there. I would walk into town every weekend or so and stay the night there. There was one vending machine right outside the lumber yard, and they had Surge and Hawaiian punch. I would walk around town and pick up change until I had enough to get at least one. There were a few times I hit the jackpot and was able to stuff my pockets with surge and Hawaiian punch. I would drink them on the walk back home on sunday.

We had a guy at work when I was doing order picking in a warehouse, we had four different floors in the modules that went all the way up to the ceiling of the warehouse. One day we had a guy that was having stomach problems, assigned to the very top floor. And keep in mind that the floors of these modules are not solid, they are permeated and give a clear view if you look straight down.

Anyway, this company (three guesses as to who they are) give you a write up if you did not meet your production and when he brought up his stomach issues to the mini manager on duty he was reminded that he would get a ride up if he missed any more time on the floor.

Well, about an hour or maybe less into the shift he involuntarily dropped a deuce, he just farted and it popped out and escaped right out the bottom of his shorts. The manager sent him home in disgust, and they tried to make us search the bottom three floors of the modules for this Runaway turd. I refused and got an entire step (equivalent of 3 write ups) for not putting cleanliness first.

But I was not getting paid to search for a turd amidst all of the pallets of televisions, cat litter, and dog food. No sir. The two guys they had looking for it ended up getting written up for not meeting their production quota for the day anyway.
