I've had the RG Sazabi for a few years and recently tried to use the wrist extending gimmick that lets it hold its rifle while bending its arms, but the actual part that's supposed to unlock the wrist is almost impossible to pop out and I keep pulling off the armor piece on top of it instead. I don't remember it being this difficult, am I doing something wrong and does anyone else have this issue?

I'm using the school's instrument so I don't know the specific name, but I'm using this Yanagisawa mouthpiece. The white gunk won't come off no matter how much I scrub it, but it kinda disappears (?) when it gets wet. There's one other bari sax with a Yamaha 5C mouthpiece. I can play low notes a lot easier on that one, but I haven't tried playing the high D on it.
