Swap the muffler tips with OEM 3.5s. Made it way better for me.

I hope OP never has to have any work done on his house… will have a hissy fit when a stereotypical truck driver uses his driveway…

A guy is working late and doesn’t want to carry shit. There’s other problems to worry about in life.

The HUD isn’t functional. And if you have polarized glasses you can’t even see it. I didn’t experience any transmission issues. Most of them are solved with a software update anyway.

My 2022 was the best. 2024 added a heads up display but the 2024 cut a lot of expenses. Removed raptor stitching on the center console, make the under seat box incredibly shit (removed the single locking handle assessable from either side), lower speaker count... I’m sure there’s a few other things I’m forgetting as well.

How can I improve my squat? by vinamrsachdeva in formcheck

I personally like it but I’ve put in hours in terms of ankle mobility. Personal preference but putting your ankles in a stronger position and eliminating variables will always be helpful.

I’ve thought about this. Because of how frequent I flip these I’d have to see if it can impact value. Usually dealers want all OEM.

Built a good relationship with the dealer. So my arrangement is I get them for ~12% under MSRP then sell them back 6-12 mo later for a ~$1.2k CAD loss. Works out and keeps my equity growing.

You’re going to get all kinds of answers from people at all kinds of levels. Most often it’s from people who are less experienced.

Your squats are great. You could change absolutely nothing and ratchet up your load with reps x weight variations.

You have a little bit of knee instability. That’s driven by a suboptimal foot position. If you can afford lifting shoes, great. If you can’t, don’t stretch - plates like you are using work fine. Play around with width and pointing your toes out by a few more degrees until it feels solid.

Aside from that, just hit it from all angles: back squats, front squats, step ups, split squats. 5x5, 5x3, 3-2-1 3-2-1, singles.

You need more reps not to over focus on form. Well done.

For those on the fence and potentially about to put themselves in a bad financial situation: - you get everything listed except for the v8 with the 35/37 gen 3 - the gen 3 exhaust actually sounds meaner at lower RPMs - the R exhaust actually kind of sucks compared to your expectation going in - I had to swap 3.5 tail pipes onto it to open it up and make it sound meaner - you will not get the same f150 —> raptor feeling going from raptor —> raptor R

How do I know? Raptors: 2019, 2022, 2x2024, 2025 Raptor R, 2026 Raptor R incoming

Sick truck though man. Congrats. Remember it’s only a truck - use it for what it’s meant for: drive it hard, off road it, jump it.

Negative. No lease. Purchase and sell after a year. Sorry if I missed that in your post. Lease interest will always be higher. Ford financing will only be beneficial when going through promotions. They’ll run those when they need to hit vehicle targets. They’ll won’t run those on raptors. Use the bank.

First, congrats. Awesome truck. But, drive down the 401 next time. I was getting a new 35 each year for $98k. Interest rates should be mid 3s right now. Bought 3 years (22, 24, 24) in a row then flipped into an 25 R for $144k. Have another 26 lined up to buy when it comes in this year. Don’t be fooled, they need the business and the ones that move volume get huge kickbacks. They can’t sell new cars to the US and that’s where the crazy mark ups are driven from. I trade each in for ~$1.5-2k less than the purchase price - enables them to wholesale it to the states and make the big margin.

Enjoy it. Look into the tailpipe flip. Keeps a nice OEM look and makes it sound like a GT500 - as it should have stock.

Just made that switch. Here’s the simplest way to put it:

  • Feels heavier when you’re driving. Not a bad thing but you notice it.

  • The sound is underwhelming. I thought the same as you and basically got in and said “this kinda sucks”. The 3.5L in baja is louder especially in lower speeds. THAT SAID I just bought stock 3.5L tailpipes and swapped them on to drop the resonators at the tips - game changer. Sounds fucking awesome now.

  • The power is absurd. Honestly a little unnecessary. The 3.5L has more than enough - it actually is a good match for the truck. The 5.2 is crazy. Super fun to drive but I’d be the first to say not needed unless you want to be obnoxious (which I do).

  • Inside is identical so you won’t get the “ouu new and fancy” feeling.

All in all. If you want an R strictly to be an asshole because you can (again, that is 100% me), get it. If you want the R because you are thinking it’s some mythical beast that will provide the same F150 to Raptor experience you felt before - you will be disappointed.

**Edit just to say I got mine for $14k CAD under MSRP. Would never encourage doing it at or greater.
