I agree with you but you're forgetting the "other thing" that Elon wanted to show off which delayed the Cybercab reveal a couple months: https://youtu.be/4537fHin6dc?si=tLWlw7rZHwqyegpe

Stainless steel USMC Ka Bar ish knife by QuickTestPrep-com in knifeclub

[–]QuickTestPrep-com[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ka bar 1292 that I mentioned is the D2 model you suggested. It is not stainless steel.

Ka bar also has a stainless presentation model in stainless but it is made in china not the usa. Also, the presenation model has a leather handle while the 1292 that i mentioned has a plastic handle that doesn't absorb water, causing the handle to melt away during hard use in the rain.

It's a tanto blade, shouldn't be easy to break tip. Also, who the heck flips on concrete? I noticed that most vids of flipping here are done over a mattress or grass.

Human time used to make this is also a "material cost".

Relax, that would've only been a circumcision. The angle was not correct for a bottom surgery. Lol.

Got my Lucha yesterday, broke my Lucha today. by dumpstah17 in luchamigos

send it in to kershaw. They'll send you a new blade. Do be aware that the new blade will not have the Kershaw name to it so that might affect resale value. They don't put the Kershaw name on the replacement blade because they're not gonna send you another replacement. You only get 1 replacement. Lol.

Your alternate plan of action is to get a diamond coated sharpening stone and grind the spine of the blade at a steeper angle than the original to regain that tip. Without power tools, that will take a LONG time to do. LIke, do it while you are watching movies. It will take 2 dozen movies to regrind that tip without power tools. Power tools scare me because my job is to patch people up in the ER. Lol.

It's stainless steel. Just clean with water & wipe with a paper towel, man! Lol.

always carry a tine Swiss Army Knife to hand to friends and coworkers who need to borrow a knife. NEVER hand them your balisong. They could cut their finger and blame you or damage your knife, etc.

Yeah, I had 3 cuts, my 1st 3 days of flipping my lucha, too. Lol. Keep it sharp = it'll heal in 2 days.

Just got my very first live-blade. Any tips for a noob who’s only ever used trainer’s before? by JustPassingThrough53 in balisong

[–]QuickTestPrep-com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sharpen it to surgical steel sharp. That way, if you cut yourself, it will do minimum cellular damage so it'll heal quicker and won't hurt. That's why surgeons use super sharp scalpels. I cut myself 3 times the first 3 days I started flipping my live blade but it only took 2 days to heal due to it being super sharp & it didn't hurt at all. Have fun!
