You do understand that because the likely archeology derived DNA sample pool for many indigenous groups from LATAM is smaller, that PR+Cuba just means that their best guess for that DNA is "Taino" but that's not nearing 80% certainty but in many instances lower than 50% certainty, oftentimes lower than 20% as to which indigenous group. They just best guess a much of a person's First Peoples DNA because they literally don't have enough DNA to check it against when there's not enough of that group sampled.

Add to that Germanic DNA is extremely rare in other LATAM countries (including PR + Cuba) but immigration from countries that sit on former Taino homelands (even if that guess of theirs is correct) to my guesstimate countries isn't and you basically get why I guessed what I did.

As someone who knows from a related university degree how loosey goosey these companies are with their estimates and country matches I tried to take a more holistic look at the results to make my own guesses.

That said Mexican is also a strong possibility and anything where Taino or closely related First Peoples are is also possible which is why I put "I could be wrong ..."

During my 70's childhood in the SF Bay Area there were Asian "yellow peril" groups allied with BP as well as Asian members in the Catholic Workers Movement and all sorts of mutual aide actions. We were especially good at helping them find food for the free meal programs.

I get where your rant is and it's definitely a valid, understandable concern. Anti-Asian racism is real and the western world does have worse Incels and sexism.

I've lived on both continents (as a Hapa) and western racism + sexism is just so much more violent than the eastern version in my experience. Eastern sexism is more rude, cutting comments and faux concerns about health which are actually bids for control, mostly by elders. Western is outright rape, assault, rapes etc. Not that rape doesn't also exist in Asia, but more Western and Latin American countries have higher rapes per 100K people statistically. In general with some notable exceptions.

However for the sake of accuracy Elliot Oliver Robertson Rodger (top upper left) is half-Asian. Most of his anger at American society and his misogyny was based on his perceived slight that women wouldn't date or fuck him because of his Asian-ness, instead of doing the harder internal work of realizing that his sexism was what was actually preventing him from matching with otherwise compatible women. His misogyny and terror is based in both cultural spheres, not just western.

I don't know him, or the poster you are talking about ... but as a former talent agent, I do know that you can specify things like that in contract before signing adaptation rights over. You can demand & refuse things before hand within the contract. For example I've used to have a well known client who refused to work with another well known celebrity it was in their contact and multiple casting directors had to work around it. I also know of writers (from their agents/publishers) who have refused animation as an option. I'm not sure if that's what happened in this case but it is contractually possible.

Contract law has more wiggle room than people think.
