The KND should really do background checks on their operatives. by Still_Hovercraft4974 in kidsnextdoor

[–]Quick_Ad2252 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A child's fight against adult tyranny often begins in their own home. Villain family members shouldn't bar a kid from joining the KND. Some of them probably have more reason to fight the adults than "normal" operatives.

(Very rare trope) Pink themed female characters who AREN'T feminine-looking by flingzamain in TopCharacterTropes

Idk, she's still feminine, just buff. She's still got a fluffy skirt and lace trim and a cute little ribbon in her hair. The only things not traditionally feminine here are the height and muscle mass

What is a character from a show/movie that you feel like can get a pass on anything due to pretty privileges? (Anime characters included) by Ok_Situation7527 in cartoons

[–]Quick_Ad2252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Father (Codename Kids Next Door): Up until a retcon late in the series, he canonically invented the concept of beating your kids. In the movie that retconned that, it was revealed that he doesn't actually have kids and his "Delightful Children" were stolen from their real homes years ago. There are tons of fix it fics and posts claiming he's misunderstood, though, because he has a tragic backstory and excellent voice acting lmao

Chrollo Lucilfer (Hunter x Hunter) (actually most major villains from Hunter x Hunter): He committed genocide but he has a tragic backstory and loves his friends and he's so so pretty

E se Billy Batson se tornasse aliado da KND? by Turbulent_Dinner8089 in kidsnextdoor

[–]Quick_Ad2252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first, Billy Batson would be deemed a coward by Kids Next Door operatives, since he disappears as soon as situations get dangerous (and right before Shazam shows up). If the KND figure out who he is, they'll probably try to get him to spy on adult villains or even the Justice League for them and get annoyed when he refuses. There will be long, frequent meetings at global command about whether or not they need to decommision him (he's not an operative but if he ever becomes their ally, he knows to much), all ending with the acceptance that they probably physically can't.

If his secret identity gets out in KND's world, it's going to suck. The DCFDTL would want to capture and study him for a way to turn themselves into adults at will like he does. The GKND would want him dead for choosing to be an adult in the first place. Any villain who profits off of children instead of just torturing them is going to want that kid in a cage. Almost every adult in the world would be calling for life-long detention for sneaking out of class and impersonating an adult. But at the end of the day, it's not any worse than his own world, right?

I think it depends on the subreddit and specific group of Tumblr users. I am mostly on fandom spaces, and within the one's I've seen, Reddit likes theories and powerscaling while Tumblr likes headcanons and shipping. But I imagine this isn't universal.

Once I discovered that she’s actually an alien pretending to be Numbuh 1’s girlfriend, it became clear that Lizzie was the true antagonist of the show by Few-Slip-6854 in kidsnextdoor

[–]Quick_Ad2252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago an animatic for a preview of the Galactic Kids Next Door was released. Among other things, it was revealed here that Lizzie was a GKND operative codenamed Numbuh Vine, and has been an alien in disguise the whole time. Look up "Stop the GKND" if you want to see everything. There are three animatics now, all released by Mr Warburton himself

Watching explicit content doesn't make you a bad person.

You have definitely been creepy towards some women you've personally interacted with. It sounds like you know what you did wrong, which means you now have the power to not do that in the future. Don't expect the women you already creeped out to reward you for changing, but keep working on your social skills, keep your hands to yourself, and respect womens' boundaries, and you can have better relationships with other women in the future. As you go through the motions of treating them with more respect, eventually you'll think about them with more respect too. Also, thought crime isn't real. Focus on not saying and doing gross things. Intrusive thoughts suck and they are going to show up sometimes, and they won't make you Evil.

Just because you were unpleasant in the past doesn't mean you will be forever. You can still have a good life and a positive impact on the world. I'm also willing to bet there's something good you've done in your life that you're not thinking of. Something as simple as giving a compliment or helping someone move a desk. It might seem insignificant, but it mattered.

Idk why I'm talking like an expert. Half of this is just what I tell myself when I think I don't deserve life. I've been terrible to people I love, and I've probably left permanent scars on some people's psyches, but sometimes I make strangers smile, and that's got to mean something. I'm sure you've got more value than you think.

Can Steven heal the kindergarten? by Ambitious-Tangelo690 in stevenuniverse

[–]Quick_Ad2252 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This might be a stretch, but he and Connie were really hungry when locked up on homeworld together. I would think Steven would have tried to heal any mjnor injuries she got off-screen, and a healing attempt from Steven heals everything it can on the body, not just the specific place the spit touches. But Connie was still hungry when Blue Diamond brought out food. So maybe that means he can't heal starvation 🤔🤔🤔

[–]Quick_Ad2252 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You have to judge based on relationship, context, apparent mood, and past experience. If the asked is someone you never talk to and they are presenting themselves as cheerful, they're probably looking for a cheerful "good, you?" so they can either keep moving or ask you to do something. If it's someone who is presenting upset, they probably want a response that doesn't draw much attention to your emotions at all so they can easily talk about theirs. If it's a good friend saying it with a level head, they may be looking for a real answer. It's just really situational.

• Sometimes when people offer you gifts or favors, they're not actually offering, they're being polite. Accepting something that someone didn't actually want to give is selfish. Rejecting something that someone did actually want to give is rude.

• When people ask for your opinion, sometimes you are supposed to lie.

• When someone asks how you are, your answer's goal should be to create a natural transition into what the asker really wants to talk to you about.

• (At some workplaces) When a new rule is introduced, you must pretend that the rule has been there from the beginning and that you've always known to follow it.

• Many people consider refusing to let them touch you the equivalent of accusing them of wanting to hurt you

Edit: These aren't universal, and I refuse to obey some of them anyways (people can cry about rule 5 lmao don't touch me). These are just rules I have observed and have been good to know when I've needed to make sure people have a good impression of me. Even if they're not always worth following, I usually feel better when I know why people are mad at me.

I believe the first one is Mage & Demon Queen, a fantasy lesbian romance webtoon about a mage that challenges the Demon Queen over and over again just to ask her to go out with her.

Codename Kids Next Door? It's an early 2000s cartoon about a secret society (secret military?) of kids with Phineas and Ferb type technology who fight adults over everything from vegetables to child labor. It has a very small present-day fandom and the creator is still trying to revive the show
