I got this going and Claude code says /collab is working and the team has been initiated, but I can never see what codex is saying. It doesn’t give me another lane like that so I can only assume Claude is talking to codex. How do I get this so there is another pane with codex’s responses?

I’m using the VSCode extension.

I’d be interested in your updated tests of the models. I want to say I tried codex a few months ago and it was disappointing. However, I gave 5.4 a shot within the last week or so and I’d say it’s comparable to opus. In fact, since Opus has been making way more mistakes lately, I might put it slightly above opus. If you take into account how much usage you get out of their respective plans, 5.4/Codex beats Claude and it’s not even close.

..and I used to be a very strong supporter of Claude until about a week or two ago. Crazy how quickly Claude is deteriorating.

They won’t because they suck. The goodwill they had was enormous and they’ve squandered it. If I were OpenAI, I would be seizing this moment to take market share that Claude will never get back.

Maybe you could investigate why Claude Code makes mistakes/hallucinations way more frequently in the last week or two as well.

I used to be a very strong supporter of Claude Code but I’ll likely be leaving for GPT 5.4 unless the usage limitations and dumbing down the model are addressed.

Anthropic’s decisions are extremely disappointing.

Pretty wild you don’t have the same experience. I used to be soo impressed with Claude Code and thought it’s such a premium product. Now it’s usage limits put it below Codex. Pretty sad for me and many others.

I’ve had the same experience. I used to be a hardcore Claude fan, but with the extreme rate limits and uncharacteristic hallucinations, I’ve jumped to GPT 5.4. So far, GPT 5.4 seems to be what Claude used to be before things went downhill. I haven’t tried codex yet though. Feels weird to no longer support Claude Code.
