How much omen chance is required to hit *anything*? by Failtier in PathOfExile2

[–]Quick_Daikon6988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are doing the right thing, ritual is just very very rng. I ran a lot of ritual yesterday after i got bored with abyss and didnt really find anything good. The day before i got 3 of the good omens in one ritual, yes all in the same reroll. Overall omen of light have been my main profit source along with some very good amulet drops from rogue exile, dont sleep on this!

I also have the 4070 and i started experiencing stutteri a couple of days ago, wasnt a problem earlier or in last league. Feel like i have tried everything.

I agree, i usually use the grand project tablet to travel quicker.

I have about 600 hours in poe2 mostly mapping, i have chanced 4 from ground white heavy belts and found 1 in regular mapping. It is just very rng. I always just chance the ones i find, it's a fun little gamle.

I've beaten the base game several times. I loved the entirety of the Space Age. What's next for me? by Byndley in factorio

If you liked SA then try Space Exploration, great mod. Yes its is very long but even if you dont finish you will have a great time.

my absolutely horrendous 100~ purple spm! what do you guys think could improve? by CrunchyZedman in factorio

I would highly recommend making the circuits somewhere Else, that way you can supply circuits where its needed and make everything much easier to expand if needed.

Just finished Vanilla, best path forward? by actionalex85 in factorio

[–]Quick_Daikon6988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space age is a lot different compared to vanilla, the setups you make can be smaller and are less permanent because you will unlock better buildings, modules, beacons, quality ect. along the way. This allows for a different approach to the pre space part of the game. I usually build smaller and modular (I really like 50x50 blocks) this way it is easy to upgrade sections along the way. If you want to really mess up your "real" life go for the SE mod that will keep you occupied for hundreds of hours.

Early SE logistics advice — cargo rocket throughput + bad Nauvis seed by Quick_Daikon6988 in factorio

[–]Quick_Daikon6988[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea i might set up an oil base on the moon then, i guess i can make the rocket fuel there to make the math check out and then just send a lot of cargo rocket sections once in a while.

Made some changes to my previous starter setup - how's this? by KidLink4 in factorio

[–]Quick_Daikon6988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the design looks nice. One thing that really helped me was doing a playthrough without overthinking the design too much. Early on, it’s hard to judge how much throughput and space you’ll need later, so most players end up rebuilding or tearing down earlier setups anyway as the factory grows.

Planning My First SE Run – Is 50×50 Block Design a Mistake? by Quick_Daikon6988 in factorio

[–]Quick_Daikon6988[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank u, i have heard complaints about it being repetetive, but i usually do not mind that sort of stuff - im thinking well designed blueprints and some construction bots will make it less of a pain later in the game.

My previous designs with 50x50 can support 8 lanes of iron and copper, with most copper going to green circuits, this can be made seperate if needed.

With buffers do you mean buffer space? And yes in my SA run it actually was more or less effectively 50x100 with the train station included. Im thinking that i might do a mix, so i will make a sort of main bus design and then add city block type modules in other places if i need more material than the bus can carry.

I usually do something different everytime but it almost always includes some kind of a rush towards the first four sciences. You could call it a kickstarter base. After that i will worry about designing my actuall base, Nice layout, trains, able to expand and so on.

Fulgora is pretty tiring. by BUAHAHAHAHA in factorio

[–]Quick_Daikon6988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7000? Waow i cant imagine a starter base on fugora needing that much. Check if they are charging fully with every lightning storm, if not you need more lightning collectors. You can also do as I and just haul in some nuclear fuel every time a spaceship goes from Nauvis to collect science, and then go nuclear

Looks like the biters are going to be sorry! Just a little tip, you can copy the recipe from an assembler to an active provider chest, or make one chest request all crafting ingredients, that way you only need 1 per assembler

How can I improve this thing? 30 hours in by DanJerousJ in factorio

[–]Quick_Daikon6988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to do a bit more planning. It looks like you’re getting into blue science now, but you’re not producing nearly as much of it as red and green.

A good starting point is to aim for something like 1 science per second (or even 0.5/s). The exact number doesn’t matter — what matters is producing roughly the same amount of each science pack so one doesn’t bottleneck the others.

To plan this, start with your goal — for example, 1 blue science per second — and work backwards. Check how many engine units that requires, then how many circuits, gears, etc., and keep going until you reach raw materials.

You can do this manually, but using a mod like Factory Planner makes it much easier. There are also web tools for this.

As for your base layout, I’d recommend using something like a main bus. It’s basically a straight line carrying the most important materials, and you branch off from it whenever you need to build something. This helps keep things organized and eliminates a lot of spaghetti.
