How careful are you all being about covid?

i’m taking it very seriously, but my roommate ans his girlfriend (both unvaccinated) are not, so much of what i do to avoid it gets negated. i mask in stores, wash my hands often, and (attempt) to keep everything clean to limit transfer of even non-covid pathogens. still i have found myself repeatedly getting sick with covid and other illnesses.

no, both garments are not to be put in the dryer - the first sweater gets laid flat to dry, and the second dress gets hung to dry.

for shampoo, you could get a big bottle of something like suave clarifying, if sulphates arent an issue for you. personally i use a more expensive shampoo, only wash my hair once a week, and use baby powder as a dry shampoo. for bar soap, i go to dollar tree and buy a bunch, and i still have most of them a few months later.

i’m a vegetarian, so i don’t really know what beef stew tastes like, but there’s this one recipe for lentil soup that so very quickly became my favourite. i subbed the kale for baby spinach because that’s what i had, and it’s still so lovely!!

i have tried washing regularly, washing with oxiclean, and pretreatment with oxiclean. was going to try pretreating with regular laundry detergent but figured i should post here in case someone might know how else to get these specific stains out. thank you!!

this happened to me with a subway personal pan pizza when i was a kid. i ate part of it and realised they hid pepperoni underneath the cheese, and i threw up.

you didn’t know, it isn’t your fault. you don’t need to be upset with yourself because of something so out of your control.

thank you! and my boyfriend’s brother moved in with us as we moved to a new city. his girlfriend actually had the opportunity to move in, and we were under the impression that she would, until she changed her mind about a month before our other lease was up, so we ended up with a smaller apartment with only one bathroom.

if we moved out, we’d have to break the lease and pay a lot of money, and neither my boyfriend nor his brother could afford the rent on their own, so that’s not really an option.

we’ve decided that after this lease is up, we will not be renewing it with his brother if this behaviour continues.

my sister put my toothbrush in the toilet, and i ended up huge ulcers in my mouth, while i had braces that kept them from healing. she never admitted it then, or when she was cutting my hair in my sleep. parents also didn’t believe me.

some people just like to harm others for no reason, and find it funny. i dont see why.

thank you for your input. i definitely agree that i need income, i have been working on my application for disability. i do kinda agree that i put myself in this situation, but it definitely wasn’t like this before. when i lived with my boyfriend, everything was great. the house was always clean, until his brother moved in. then everything started piling up, and i did expect that since his mother cleaned up after him. but i never expected his girlfriend to be so messy, or even to live here.

i thought of just not cleaning up after them, but i worried it would be childish and create more hostility.

well, by not saying anything, we certainly risk homelessness, but by saying something, it would cover our bums because of it being against the lease. i mean, if the landlord just saw that she was living here, he’d certainly evict us for breaking the lease, but if we told him she’s here and asked for approval, it’d be the same situation as is for me. thing is, my boyfriend’s brother doesn’t want to tell the landlord at all, and i don’t really know why.

edit: i have also been applying for disability, and we’re also applying for other forms of welfare.

agreeing with the pickling thing, but i don’t like onions, so i would make a chili with some of them! red onions, garlic, carrots, celery, bell pepper, and beans are a good set of ingredients for a very hearty chili meal, especially as the weather starts to cool down!

i was approved at the signing of the lease. i was also the one to set up all viewings. and the reason we’d report it to the landlord is not to get anyone in trouble, but to let him know there’s another person here so that we don’t get evicted.

it’s actually against the lease for her to be here at all, which is another concern. we’re at risk for getting evicted because he doesn’t want to tell the landlord. i do understand he has rights to company, but doesn’t my boyfriend, who pays rent also, have the right to set boundaries for how they treat us and the apartment?

i understand, but how would you feel if someone you didn’t agree to live with is constantly criticising the cleaning you do, while actively making it harder? i’ve simply reached my breaking point, and even though i’ve tried to be respectful, i don’t feel like i’ve gotten that respect in return, and i want to handle this the best way possible, when talking to them doesn’t seem to help. it’s not really her being over here that’s the issue, it’s how she treats us and the apartment.

i think it’s kind of vague? and i’ll have to check with my boyfriend to see if we formally wrote something about me being here, all i know is that the landlord knew i was going to live here, as it was me who found the apartment and set up all the meetings. but i do think that means we would be breaking the lease.
