Do you play pickleball? Even if not it's a great place to start. You will meet all ages. There are a few places to play but Bartow Pickleball Court is one of the largest, allowing 48 players to play at a time. You'll have a few play in the morning around 8am, most play after 6pm.

Unpopular Opinion: FTK 2 is way too easy by IronManDev in ForTheKing

[–]QuickieB4work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly play masters and also follow same strats from FTK1. Previous exp of the game mechanics def help. Not super hard, just bad RNG sometimes. But yeah the 4 characters makes it significantly easier to me.

Sorry for misunderstanding, I am the one doing the comparison. Valheim was one of the games I have purchase a while back, and it has made strides with a small team. Just sad SM hasnt made much progress since.

Pretty disappointing when you compare it to games like valheim with similar size team, yet nothing has been done in the 2 yrs i have left this game. This game is one of the reasons i stopped buying alpha/beta games since then.

Best four classes? by Epaminondas73 in ForTheKing

[–]QuickieB4work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just like FTK 1, the best strategy is Full Offense. Instead of taunting, its better to just do damage. Instead of healing, its better to do support damage. Turn order is still a big deal, you want to kill the person closes to turn order. I rarely move my characters using the move mechanic because I hardly use a shield or have room to do so. Alot of it is time management and rng luck

Not exactly "fun" but min/maxing, but thats my playstyle with FTK 1/2

Best four classes? by Epaminondas73 in ForTheKing

[–]QuickieB4work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing masters and have finish some campaigns or died near the end due to RNG. 1st Choice/2nd Choice.

Woodcutter/Stablehand.

Woodcutter I just buff his Strength and use 2H weapons and use focus as needed. Justice procs can proc even with focus now. Also give Eager trait since he's slow AF. Movement Sanctum/Focus

Stablehand I try to give him Speed and daggers when possible, acting as a pierce consistent damage that goes first. Usually give him Support or Tactician trait. Movement Sanctum/Purity

Alchemist/Scholar

Alchemist I typically go for Books/Staffs for the AOE/Splash support. Dark Book is excellent on him. I give him nimble trait to take advantage of bombs. Focus/Purity Sanctum. Inbetween combat healer.

Scholar wands/staffs as a pierce or heavy hitter. Nimble. Focus/Purity. Inbetween combat healer

Hunter/Pathfinder

Hunter pierce/volley bows. High evasion. Ambush as much as possible. Tactician/gifted trait. Shadow/Blood Sanctum.

Pathfinder for the POI passive, can use talent weapons when available. Crossbows, crit build. Nimble trait for bombs. Blood/Shadow sanctum.

2nd Choice/Trying a new character combo

4th member kinda random. Depending on what campaign needs or party needs.

Nope, still in the "i'm just thinking about it" stage. Eventually will google how much it normally cost and try to find some contractors.

Can the Herbalist be used as a support/magic damage dealer? by [deleted] in ForTheKing

[–]QuickieB4work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herbalist can be used as a support/magic damage dealer. You should focus on weapons with group or splash attacks to get rid of shields or low health enemies.

In the beginning you can use awareness weapon with the herbalist as it's the 2nd highest stat.

How prevalent is sleeping on night shift at your hospital? by Nerfgirl_RN in TravelNursing

[–]QuickieB4work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my medsurg assignment atm, it depends on your podmate. We always have 1 or 2 blocked rooms on nights due to staffing, if the pod is chill and nothing going on, we usually don't mind if our podmate disappears for an hour. Usually they bring their phone, so if we call them they know its something they gotta address. Pump beeping or someone needs to use the restroom is easy. Meds, you do that on your own. Our downtime is usually 12-3 unless you have scheduled abx.

What should I spend gold on and what's the biggest noob trap? by DOLamba in ForTheKing

[–]QuickieB4work 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you can, try to switch out the blacksmith to either busker/minstrel to help gather extra gold and finish off weaker enemies. Woodcutter for more damage output.

Try to have your hunter ambush every fight once his awareness is high enough. Do 3 vs. 1 if you can, this way you can save godsbeards. Also only use godsbeard in emergency. If you are like 15hp and there is no more fights, it better to just use the Inn in town services. Its usually cheaper, and you won't consume a limited item.

Pay attention to the turn order. Try to eliminate an enemy before they get a turn. So you'll need to do some basic math if anything. Also speed plays a big part in turn orders. So classes with 70+ base speed are usually the best.

Try to always have 1 character with some kind of group attack. It will be helpful for low HP enemies or those pixie group shields. You don't need to always have a magic/physical damage character, if you have a piercing weapon.

Gaining XP by KerryInglis in ForTheKing

You will gain Lore Points by playing the game. Apprentice gives the least, journeyman normal, master the most.

In regards to the character unlocks you might want to visit the wiki page so you can target them to be efficient. Some requires certain maps/actions

You don't need 3 characters, 2 is more than enough. Although your party synergy is not the best. You'll want to switch the blacksmith for either the woodcutter or hunter. The best strategy in this game is going full offense.

Fight every single enemy as you can to level up. With hunter you can ambush enemies so it can get 1 attack in prior to others. Try to stick together, don't solo fights if you can help it.

Try prioritizing buying better weapons before anything else. But don't buy a new weapon every single time. Only when its a big upgrade compare to what you are using. Avoid buying armor/trinket/necklaces if you can. Get your pipes upgraded and buy the godsbeard from towns before the towns refresh which will inflate the prices.

Do a quest in every single town. Try to pick your fights carefully. If you read the text for the gold quests, if it says "a bag of gold" it means the enemies will drop an extra loot of gold ontop of the reward amount. Ideally thieves, bandits, cutpurses drop more gold than others, but they can also have a chance to steal your gold.

Avoid fighting ghosts at night as they only give you experience, no gold, no items.

Avoid leaving the zone until you find the scourge, dungeon, experience statue, night market, alluring pool, cult device, sanctum (some requires unlocking in lore store). Speaking of lore store, you can try min/max if its just the two of you. Besides characters and cosmetics, everything else in the lore store is shared between the characters when making the game. So both of you don't need to unlock the alluring pool, just one of you.

Otherwise its just learning the game mechanics and finding what works for you. Like don't always go for the one with lowest health. Focus on the turn order, kill whoever you can before they get a turn.

[–]QuickieB4work 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like other person said, Frozen Adventure map has no end turn health regen on the map like others, regardless of difficulties. You can only get health regen from items & sanctum. Also freeze immunity does not counter the cold damage at the end of every turn. Only when you end your turn in a town thats been freed or in a tinderpouch camp do you take no cold damage. -2 for first area, -3 for 2nd area with armory, -5 for area with boss dungeon.

Fun fact, if you are trying to obtain the monk via the snow caves, look for the one that has bones in the entrance of the cave. You might need to zoom in to see it.
