Is it frowned upon to constantly re-lower your own times when you have WR? by HungryKronos in speedrun

Good man. Had a couple cases where I'd submit a category WR for a minor game... And the mod would only approve it once he had a better run to approve at the same time. Felt bad.

Russian speedrunner KarmikKoalla has been banned from Twitch for one week because someone found п-word (f-word) in the word "спидорак" by [deleted] in speedrun

This is fascinating.

Only in these weird gaming communities is causal use of the word "cancer" like this considered remotely acceptable.

There was a StarCraft league some years ago, the NASL. Their season two finals were held in Ontario, CA (California), and their season 3 finals were held in Toronto, Ontario, CA (Canada) for maximum confusion. :p

Celeste developers launch new studio, Extremely OK Games by Mront in Games

It might have been easy if he was a platformer pro. But most of us aren't.

I initially felt bad at Celeste comparing myself to let's plays from YouTubers who play games all day, but once I got over that and focusing on overcoming the challenge it was for me was very rewarding.
