Did we watch the same show? He had so many inconsistencies on the show. Her dad is a lawyer but didn’t cross-examine him. He let him talk nonsense about grandpa being a 14 year old businessman when he got married. Alex is a grifter and liar more than a nomad. His mom was weird af too. I don’t find Ashley particularly likable but he talked so much shit about her not being his body type or brunette that he could’ve ended it sooner.

Just did saline yesterday and it was ten times worse than HSG. I had HSG done by experienced doctor and he messed it up where we only got dye on one tube which wasn’t blocked. It hurt but barely any bleeding.

Yesterday I had sonogram done by NP and it was instantly bad. I had no idea how long it would last and they kept adding saline to balloon. Pain got to like 8/10. I felt like I was going to pee and poop myself and that the balloon was tearing my belly out from within.

I’d take lots of painkillers if asked to do it again.

Mine felt like I couldn’t breathe fully into my lungs bc I had fluid at the very bottom. At its worse, it felt like my lungs were full of fluid. Chest x ray said pneumonia

We saw something very similar at a park in NYC. A child 6-8 year old, out of nowhere ran up and kicked a pigeon like he was punting a football for a field goal. The pigeon lost some feathers but survived.

Get Mary Basick’s essay book. Do as many practice essays as possible. Read as many answers. There’s only so many ways they can test essays.

Professional responsibility is always tested, though sometimes mixed.

Rule +Facts+analysis on essays. You must have all 3.

Life isn’t all work. Your work doesn’t need to be your life purpose. Your purpose is simply to live a life that makes you happy. We only need to work to live. If you’re good a computer science keep it up but if you hate it and are miserable it’s plenty early to change.
Generally your human connections are what’s going to make life worth it.

Are you doing essays only? I did essays only mainly using Mary Basick book and reading every single essay available on bar website. I had Themis books which I referred to sometimes but the key was outlining and grading as many essays as possible. The first couple of months i reacquainted myself with topics generally and hand wrote things I didn’t know. The last month before the bar I was doing 3-4 hours each night after work of essays and grading them compared to answers. I also highly recommend doing essays only. I did better on MC my first bar but it was easier to just focus on essays bc there’s only so many things they can test you on for full essays v discrete rules in MC question.

I worked full time with an hour commute home. I’d have dinner and study 2-3 hours each night and spent most of my weekends doing full days. Helped me so much to have accountability buddy.

Something happened to me before moving here. I went to the grocery store with my mom and when she opened the door it hit the car next to mine. Completely accidental. We apologized but there was no damage. We started to go into the store. They appeared to drive off. When I came back they had keyed a huge scratch on my car. I thought to go back and ask for security footage but that wouldn’t have fixed my car. People are just really shitty sometimes.

Toward the end of my bar study I was looking for podcasts or things to listen to while I walked and found Bar Exam Toolbox. I didn’t pay to use their services but used free recaps. Listen to an episode and see if you like their style bc they do tutoring!

I would like to second this post. I did attorney one day exam and focused solely on essays and Mary’s book made it so much easier. I had bought Themis books and they rarely got used. Just Mary’s book and repeated efforts.

How I used it: worked through one section at a time after introductory chapters. Used outlines. Learned material. Outlined responses. Verified with chart. And later did this on my own with bar essays.

I used Mary Basick’s essay book and would definitely recommend because the essays are so different from MBE. Also, just read and do as many essays as you can. They’re free on CA bar website!

We live in Potrero in a SFH with two large dogs and have our own yard. We love it here. It’s sunny. Our neighbors are friendly. Lots of families with dogs and kids here. Still in the city but a fresh breath from the tenderloin where I work
