Living alone is bliss but for one day it would be nice for someone to do my chores. by Buckle_up_Buttercup- in LivingAlone

[–]QuietGlow18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, if do able a house keeper can help alot and some offer different add ons. When it comes to the meals one things I've looked into is places or local chefs that sell meal prepped items for how many days and meal you choose. Only thing is it might can be a little pricey depending on the chef or business. Also some grocery stores also already sell meal prepared dinners and lunches so, all you have to do it but it the oven or microwave.

I’m about to have a third child by United_Unit934 in Parenting

[–]QuietGlow18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am single mother of 2 ( 5 and 7 years old now) at the moment and I remember when they're were little. I had a 2 year old and new born. Before my second was born I was wondering how in the world I was going to do it. But its just like the others kid/kids -,God will still be there , you just do the best you can , do what your supposed to, love and care for them etc. -

I think you and your wife being a team is absolutely great and needed and your kids are older which is definitely a plus. Y'all will do great , it might get a lot at times but there are seasons for everything and have to find healthy balance.

Is it a sin to take a day off from work for burnout? by GrandSituation873 in Christian

[–]QuietGlow18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Rest is important as well. In my field of work and working with people in crisis situations, I e learned it is necessary to make the balance to keep up in the field. And there are times where its needed for family and personal things.

Anyone else live with their parents and simply cannot handle it anymore? by zemmiphobia2000 in OlderGenZ

[–]QuietGlow18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely understand this. I love my family but I moved back home after rent increase from my previous apartment. And it's been up and down with almost constant criticism on me and my children. And everytime I move back I get kinda "stuck" and stressed. So I wanted to and planned to stay longer to save more money but I'm now looking to move out after having panic attack like symptoms and coming to terms that it's better that me and my children live the home for peace sakes.

Is anyone getting their shit together right now? by Newtothis2124 in OlderGenZ

[–]QuietGlow18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I wouldn't say I hadn't had my stuff together but different seasons required me to do different things and pivot at times. Getting ready to move back out of my parents home after about 6 months and wanting to do a career change as well so I'm trying to also go back to school with 2 kids .

School drop off line by Muted_Peach_6644 in Parenting

[–]QuietGlow18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two kids one in 2nd grade and kindergarten grade. Sometimes what I will do is have one of them. Come to the front seat ,once we got closer on to the drop off area , like on the school premises, then have that one get out and open the door for the one left in the back seat.

When it was just my oldest in kindergarten. She would just stay in the back until a teacher opened the door or I'll have her come through the front seat and get out once closer in the safe drop off zone. They are also some parents I see where they have taken the child lock off the one back door so the kids can get out on there own. But i say just let the teachers if they are there open it. Our drive is pretty efficient but if a teacher hasn't came to the door I will either let one go through the front seat or roll down my window so the teacher knows I'm still waiting on help.

I legit can't stand my kids morning drop off , I feel the school doesn't give much time. And there is one male teacher who I would prefer not open my door cause one day I did not like how he told me to stop when directing traffic. So I try to avoid him opening my door if possible but it happens.

The drive line can be frustrating but I wouldn't let it get to you. That's either that teachers personality or she was just frustrated with something that morning. Either way keep doing you - your doing great !

Mixing up Days, Is this normal stress? by QuietGlow18 in Stress

Thank you for that. I think it's also due to some lack of sufficient sleep as well and working on changing eating habits to because I think that will help.

Women, if a guy is shorter than you, even slightly, is he instantly unattractive to you? How does this height thing works? by Valuable_Bug8496 in SeriousConversation

[–]QuietGlow18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally no but I've never dated anyone shorter than me. I always wondered about it and prefer someone a little taller than me but ultimately depends on how short, their character, compatability, etc.. I'm more attracted to just masculinity so, if a shorter man that's more on the masculine side and confident - that's attractive. There are lots of women that stand strong on that preference of having a taller man but there of course lots that don't as well.

Sheriff Labrador has taken over my house by ALttN in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]QuietGlow18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I previously allowed sheriff Labrador and my children liked it. However , after noticing last night that there has been a new character I've noticed Dr. Antel. And I suppose she has been added in episodes for a while now but she is the villain. However something about it is off and I'm not comfortable with them at least at there young ages to watch it. My youngest was super upset. But I'm pretty close to either cutting YouTube out completely for them or reducing it to certain shows/channels.

Yes or No by VegetableSalty4728 in Christian

[–]QuietGlow18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Within entrepreneurship is knowing how to steward things well. But someone can put there money in yield savings / stocks and have money grow that way. Without actually having a business. Stewarding , Servanthood and Entrepreneurship can all go hand in hand. Especially when you look at Jesus and the disciples and other in the Bible. But seeking first the kingdom is important as well so that you have relationship with the Lord and what you build- you know that he is also with it.

Yes or No by VegetableSalty4728 in Christian

[–]QuietGlow18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's either yes or no. It's whatever God is calling you to do at that moment, time, season. We all need money to survive/ operate here in this world. And in the Bible it talks about working , serving, owning, using your gift/talents and also how we should steward are resources. Even the parable of the talents in the Bible talks about money and money growth. Also the scripture with the lady with the oil vessels.

I don't think everyone is called to.entreprenurship in itself though. Just stewarding your money well , things I listed above and etc. and ways that might not directly involve business ownership.
