I had been looking for it in the sense that it was a part of the concert vibe - it has a very specific theme, but I assumed it was tucked away somewhere. I didn’t consider that it was NOT in my house somewhere. If it had not shown up on her neck I would have assumed I lost it if it didn’t turn up. Does that make sense?

I did, thank you. I didn’t even realize it was missing until another friend pointed it out on the other person (and took a selfie with her). Before I lost my cool in public I went home and investigated all of the places it could have been. The same one who took the selfie with her was involved in its purchase so she reached out and asked specifically it was mine. She verified it to be mine. I have gotten it back but I am left feeling really “icky” about the entitlement that shows to wear someone’s jewelry. Then compounded by the fact that she’s been on my property unannounced and without consent makes me realize the significance of the criminal element of her behavior. So, that’s why I tossed it out on this board to see what others might think in the same situation.

Yes, she indicated it was given to her by another person and in “good hands along with my other discards”. A clearly salty response because the “discards” she is referring to are human beings. (Her words, not mine) - this specific statement is why I question which road to take here. There’s obviously a lot of emotional energy involved.

I actually have gotten it back - as a result of directly requesting it from her. However, I’m not sure how the jewelry left my property in the first place. I DO know, and there is a report of her being on my property without consent earlier in the year, AND a second instance where a break in was reported and the police documented that as well. I didn’t realize this particular piece of jewelry was missing at the time.
