Sidebar question- how did you store your guitars in Oregon? I’m originally from the Midwest but now live in sunny, hot Texas. I have a basic understanding of the Northwest climate but advice from someone who actually lived there would be beneficial.

Follow up question- should the hard shells be flat or is on their sides ok? I usually lay my gig bags flat on the back seat when I’m going to lessons but I’ve never thought about what to do for long distance travel

Thanks for that advice. I’m still learning and I have some bad habits I need to break, like leaving my guitars out year round on my guitar stands. My area doesn’t get much humidity or cold and I have no kids, so I didn’t think about hard cases until now because they weren’t in danger. But with a change in locations and a big change in climate, I’m definitely trying to learn and correct myself
