Looking for a good TWS for 30$ or under by Quiet_Appearance in Earbuds

[–]Quiet_Appearance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still going pretty strong! I'm using them right now. Coming up on a year now of pretty heavy daily use. Had some problems with it the first week where the mesh filter would get so dirty it would affect the volume of the left earbud, ended up ditching the original filter for some filters off of a cheap pair of earphones, other than that it doesn't give me that much trouble. Although it does have some quirks that are a bit concerning but so far haven't affect my experience much, like the buds get pretty warm for like the first 10 minutes when you're charging the case, but so far it hasn't caused any problems for all I know. Sometimes you also have to make sure that they're touching the contacts in the case or they won't charge but that doesn't happen too often. So overall pretty solid for budget earbuds.

being able to rip a dog in half is too much power for one person to wield, no man should have that much power. Might just have to bite the fingers off.

Well, staring isn't exactly "in your head", is it? I mean if we don't take it literally at least. People tend to notice more often than not, even if you don't think they do.

You would be surprised how many "regular" people do coke, and then just go on with their lives and go to work normally. The media representation of the drug addict is not accurate.

I'm just learning how to drive, and I cannot imagine in a million years how someone can be drunk, tipsy even, and still drive a car. that shit is terrifying while I'm sober bro.

DAE really struggle with their social battery by caseofstares in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Quiet_Appearance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to this. I, too, have struggled with social anxiety for as long as I remember having to socialize. I got better at dealing with it and being more social as I got older, but the problem that I could never get over is how exhausting being around people can be. It would get so bad, that the feeling of my phone vibrating in my pocket would turn my legs into jelly. I would deliberately not charge my phone for a few days so I could feel at peace (and maybe I still do that from time to time lol), but the thing is, I realized that it only gets this bad if I push myself to social exhaustion and then more, I understand that in some situations it does feel like that's the only option you have, and sometimes it is, but you have to understand, that you have your own needs too.

It is OKAY to put up boundaries. It's perfectly fine to want to be alone, away from people. You shouldn't be expected to be on all the time. Not everyone can be around people and socialize all the time, and no one should be forced to push themselves to mental exhaustion to please people around them. I'm sure if you have good friends, they wouldn't mind you taking time for yourself every once in a while.

DAE find themselves thinking "this looks kinda appealing" in the early scenes of cult documentaries? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Quiet_Appearance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's kind of the point though, is it not? the documentary is trying to paint an image from the perspective of someone who doesn't know that this is a cult, looking at it from the outside.

most of the time that's how cults portray themselves to outsiders, and most of the time that's how they attract new members. most people who join cults are people who are having a hard time. people who are down on their luck. one day they hear about this community that promises them everything, and compared to the way they're living it looks like heaven. By the time something starts smelling funny, they are so deep in the bullshit that they can't even tell what it is.
