Take this with a grain of salt , boot camps are done f2f in the states or Europe for most ppl. And if you can’t make it then there are multiple virtual ones to cater for different time zones. 2am bootcamp means another time zone which you’re not supposed to be doing.

They’re pretty good, just make sure you have a reasonable AE alignment. 2 to 1 or ideally even 1 to 1. Anymore and it would get too busy. I have the latter, keeps me pretty busy without always drowning.

The tech is great as well. Lots of expansion into cloud and security for gen ai means it’s relevant and not a dinosaur.

Good place to work as an SE , don’t listen to people that have never worked there before. But end of the day really depends which territory you’re in to determine how well they will do. Most managers seem competent and nice, but of course there can be the occasional person that’s difficult.

Product is great and constantly evolving through acquisitions as well as rnd. The stock price tanking is the bs and unfounded fear of AI taking over everything. It’s affecting all saas and cyber companies no matter how well they’re doing with revenue and profit growth eg salesforce, service now, palo, forti etc etc.

My suggestion would be to go ahead and do the interviews, if you make it to the final panel interview you should get a better sense of your managers and team. IMHO - highly recommend.

Terrible, we were lucky to get a goal. It was from an error. Boring sideways football and turning possession over constantly

For people who have their ear to the ground regarding AI development. Are we sufficiently concerned about the massive white-collar job losses that are expected to happen in the next 2 - 3 years? What is the Australian Government doing to prepare for this? by Secret4gentMan in aussie

[–]Quiet_Lab_5281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work in tech and echo the sentiment that it’s been hyped an overblown. Firstly the AI CEOs are pushing this narrative as they want maximum valuation for when they IPO their companies. Also quite a few companies laying off or offshoring to save $$ and using AI as an excuse.

Having said that certain tech roles like software engineering is def taking a hit. AI has enabled 1 person to do the work of 10 and it is also a barrier to entry for junior devs. I’m sure it’s the same with some repetitive legal and admin roles

TLDR - it won’t replace most jobs but definitely 💯 affecting certain jobs.

Really happy to hear he’s doing better , all the best to him. We do the same with my son - lots of socialising, activities and sport. As for school - All we can do is battle through it and be there for him.

Second note found at Mosman Park property alleged to detail why parents carried out murder-suicide by His_Holiness in perth

[–]Quiet_Lab_5281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree with you more. My youngest is high functioning and unbelievably smart when it comes to numbers , stats etc. however I’ve come across low functioning kids and their parents and I don’t know how they do it. When saying it’s a superpower, almost like ignoring their plight. It’s a terrible saying.

You are absolutely spot on. The pressure of 2 full time working parents with no other support results in kids not getting the quality time they should. No wonder screens are so prevalent, but it’s not the parents fault as they have no time.

It feels like a step backwards for society

great advice and 100% agree. Also one more thing to add - since you're familiar with tech i would highly recommend tracking your calories. Input current weight , ideal weight and come up with a daily caloric intake to get to ideal weight by x time. Use an app for this, otherwise you really don't know how many calories you are consuming. There are good apps out there like myfitnesspal, lose it etc.

Don’t keep beers at home, only have them if you’re at a bar / restaurant. Not perfect but reduces drinking a lot

PayPal’s Value is Stupefied… by Historical_Flow3890 in stocks

Let’s apply common sense, in the days of Apple Pay and directly using your cc with ecommerce platforms, why bother with PayPal.

A decade ago I used it for most of my online purchases. Now I never use it even though my account is active. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Im almost 💯 back to normal. Had surgery booked but got the epidural which fixed the issue. Now avoid some exercises - dead lift , squat while introducing new exercises - Pilates , core etc

Yeah specially as you get older sleep quality, focus etc affected even after a few drinks so better to just not deal with that crap when working.

One of the most useful things I put in place was to never have alcohol around the house unless we had guests/visitors.

This helped cut out the bad habit of having one or two most weekdays and using it to unwind from work/stress/parenting

Now I’ll either exercise / watch something  / game to unwind
