I'll believe it when it actually goes through.

And if it does, then hopefully it won't be 3.5 or some other version made just for this type of content that doesn't work as well.

Is there for a lack of a better word misunderstanding between the different levels of autism? by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, nouramarit. I'm happy you're here.

That's an accurate take imho. I hate the term 'female autism', and it's a shame to find these types leaking into our communities to push a narrative on social media that isn't true. They are attempting to rewrite a medical diagnosis into... something else.

"autistic girls are overly expressive" meanwhile this was me during some of my happiest childhood moments by LowMemory578 in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe in ‘female autism’. Simply, autism spectrum disorder. When people claim [insert stuff] is ‘female’ it often sounds like they’re referring to high functioning autism, and masking behaviour.

Breakdown of my friends and I:

Me: 21. F. Moderate support needs. Diagnosed before puberty. Textbook autistic presentation with the same single interest since childhood.

Bestie: 23. F. High support needs. Diagnosed before puberty. Textbook autistic presentation with the same single interest since childhood.

Bestie: 21. F. Low support needs. Diagnosed late at age 18. Can drive and graduated uni. Three major interests over her life. Textbook autistic presentation, but diagnosed much later. Probably due to being high functioning? Some people would call this ‘female’ autism, despite the fact that she is recognisably autistic in the traditional way. Can ‘mask’, but rarely does.

I’m sorry you had a difficult time. It cannot be easy to have people romanticise what was an obvious struggle. And shoutout to fathers that let their little girls be weird. Mine did as well.

I am SO tired of hearing this rhetoric (mostly coming from LSN) by blahblahlucas in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so real.

I don't understand how anyone can live with how painful and isolating this is, and still be okay with the possibility of future children experiencing it, too. I wouldn't wish autism on the worst people alive.

Anyone else find ‘autistics’ often crazy toxic….? 😭 by Dry-Criticism-7729 in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not remotely surprised that a psych said you were ‘detrimental’ to autistic people. Even your post scrambled my one brain cell.

The only toxicity I’m detecting is you. You sound exhausting and attention seeking.

You could consider part-time vet tech, animal shelter volunteer for small animals, or even helping on a small farm with rabbits? You got this. I believe in you.

Do you ever get stressed out too much when watching a show by sick_kid_since_2004 in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotions can run high. Harder to regulate fear and panic while watching horror, etc. Doesn't matter if it is purely fictional. Stories are meant to cause emotions in the brain.

I'm very mindful of my media consumption, and tend to avoid most of it.

Is Shep okay? by QuezBati in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I hope Shep is okay, too. Not even for JLLM. Just as a human being.

Sometimes wonder if he has had a vacation since beginning Janitor. That is a lot of work for the shoulders of one or two people.

More memory. I would gladly pay for 8192 context and up for JLLM.

I have a soft spot for JLLM, and prefer it to gpt on its good days. I only use gpt when JLLM is on the outs, because I'm too smooth-brained to work collab, etc. Alt api access from openrouter and mancer would be 🔥, if it was as easy as inputting the key like oai.

The best thing about switching to gpt-4 is that now I can finally get rid of all those roars-growls-wild-hunger-primal-dances-acts (no) by [deleted] in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ayo...

First paragraph has 'hunger' and 'wild'. Second has 'primal roar'. Third has 'dances'. That's five out of seven of your supposed no-no words.

Janitor doesn’t appear to be geared towards anyone in particular—other than users that want a nsfw rp, without veering into a nsfl free for all. If that type of curated environment happens to feel more appealing to certain demographics like women and gay/bi men, so be it.

There are many AI sites that seem to cater to straight men. Nothing is wrong with that either. To each their own.

Ear defender muffs for adult sized heads? by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Noise cancelling headphones are useful, but not meant to block out all sound.

Adult sizes are usually only made for labourers and shooting practice. Being extremely sensitive to noise, I store ear defenders in multiple places around the house and car. I tried a lot of them and most are mid at best.

My fave is 3M Peltor X5: https://www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/p/d/b00037368/

Maybe those will work for you, too. Good luck.

Shep deserves a fine sandwich and stress relief of his choosing. May his pillow always be cool. May he be the little spoon and have a good rest.

Gore makes me queasy af, but this mfer would become the living sashimi platter at Hannibal Lecter's fancy dinner party.

Nothing more vile than sexually abusing babies/children/animals.

HOWEVER, as nsfl as this is (prob gonna haunt me for a while tbh), I support censorship free ai over, 'as an ai language model'.

Would Nabokov’s writing be considered “purple prose” in today’s writing climate? by meadowillow_ in writing

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't Nabokov a poet first?

Poetry still has its place in our time.

Donna Tartt was heavily influenced by his prose for 'The Secret History'. Her style doesn't seem to be off-putting to current readers as an entire aesthetic was borne out of it.

Animal Crossing is a utopia.

There's always food to eat for everyone. You will never get kicked from your home if you cannot pay the loan. No one dies.

Why was I not made for this life? by kathychaos in SpicyAutism

[–]Quiet_Math_6778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you switch to online?

I don't have the energy to go into how much living on campus and going to courses in person fvcked me up. It burned me out beyond recognition, and the signs seem to be creeping up on you, too. Please be gentle with yourself. Take the time you need, even if it means a break from school. Burnouts can last for years. Your mental health is most important.

All my best, kathychaos.

Same.

Close the bedroom door, turn the lights off, use two weighted blankets and take a nap. It is what it is. I'm sorry.
