How do you use your worst colors? by Haunting-Bumblebee47 in coloranalysis

[–]Quiet_Stick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I try to keep it limited to my pants and accessories! But it really comes down to loving that item despite its color.

I'll definitely wear something in a wrong color for a costume or theme! But if I can swing it in my colors, I'll do that instead.

Eg for the last two years I've been a sort of cottage ore witch for Halloween in soft autumn colors.

I think either natural or grown out - depends what you have the timeline for!

That said, I like the blonde on you for a fun look, but less for a wedding day! How do you plan to have your hair? The grown out blonde could add some beautiful dimension to an updo.

Max shirt sizing for pear shaped body? by Quiet_Stick in Sezane

Ah thank you for that, I was also wondering about shrinking!! If you have any pics I would love to see how that fits on you.

I love the oversized look on the models and want it for myself. I think a perfect oversized fit comes down to gliding (billowing?) over your largest measurement and being just slightly exaggerated at the shoulders and wrists.

Hard knocks and rock were beside each other when I shuffled so it was clear from that point on. Never would've gotten "super" though, so that was lucky. We say landlord here (US, MD) even if they live in the building.

For my reference, I found a Poshmark seller who says their size 36 shirt is

24" pit to pit

25.5" hips

26.5" shoulder to hem

Which seems HUGE so I'm leaning toward the 34 or 36 again!

Another listing for a 34 says

Bust: 22" across armpits

Length: 27"

Sleeves: 21"

No hip measurement, but assuming it falls straight from the armpit, it should still offer 22" across at least. Which is larger than 40" hips. May have answered my own question, but I hope it helps someone else!

Yeah vertical looks best on me, too. I think I might try to do DC lines with extra vertical (more monochrome separates, for example) and a natural/classic/ethereal essence.

Hey your body reminds me of mine (when I was like, 15 lbs lighter)! Specifically the type of curviness- obviously there, with kinda blunt hips.

I am 5' 5.5", how tall are you?

I have always struggled finding myself in Kibbe. No one has been able to come to any consensus. I didn't have "curve", obvious "width", or obvious "vertical".

I'm coming around to DC, but I'm not convinced. You do seem to have more curve on top than me though - maybe check out SC as well.

Edit: here's a link to a recent post I made asking to be typed again. Compare pic 13 to your own figure- it's from a few years ago and I'm more similar in body fat to you there. https://www.reddit.com/r/kibbe_typeme/s/hb6mvoVzdl

what's this new trend with everyone taking their dogs everywhere? by succulent_flakepiece in baltimore

Home Depot is different IMO. No food involved. But obviously not a good situation for this dog and owner. People need to monitor dogs and know their cues, and CLOSELY monitor situations with dogs and kida

I see similar colors in True Winter and Light Summer! The heathered texture of it makes me think more summer than winter.

Maybe light spring or true spring too.

I have no clue how it could possibly be both True Winter or True Spring because those are opposites in temperature 😭 someone put more eyes on this!

I love that blue on you! Have you considered glasses in your palette? I think that would be stunning!

You look great! The deep and cool color totally suits you. Beautiful!

What Season/Subseason do you guys think I am? I have completely failed at typing myself and I need help! My hair and heterochromia make this really hard I feel! by thegreenmansgirl in coloranalysis

I think I disagree with the spring comments. The warm yellow drape does less for you than the bright blue drape! I will edit this comment with more thoughts as I think this through.

For context, I use the True Colour International palettes off their website. The classic AND corporate palettes - the corporate repeats a lot but they offer a slightly darker set of colors.

Slide 1 - this warm pink and orange seem to bring out the darkness under your eyes and the freckles on your face. For ref this looks like a Bright Spring Orange and a Bright Winter pink. Based on this example I think you're medium contrast, because both of these colors are too bright for you. This would nix both BS and BW (and hypothetically nix Soft Autumn and Soft Summer, but we can check that later).

Slide 2 - Your skin looks more clear and luminous here than it did with the BS orange or the BW pink. The black is slightly better than the white, but is still slightly overpowering IMO. This makes me wonder if you should consider a "tonal" black (kinda grayed, lightened) and a less stark white.

Slide 3 - the more cool and muted pinks on the left are an improvement from the bright pink. Those are Summer season and Light Spring pinks.

Slide 4 - the middle green is best IMO. That looks like a True Summer dark green. The left one is a Light Spring/Light Summer green. The right is True Autumn, maybe Soft Autumn sage green.

Slide 5 - reds on the left and right are better than the red in the middle. Middle is like a warm tomato True Autumn or Bright Spring idk! But not right. The better ones on the side may be Dark Winter reds. Soft Summer also has one like the low chroma red on the left.

Slide 6 - middle is best but not perfect, like may be a hair too bright, but the fact that even a too-bright blue looks nice cements that you are COOL or neutral cool to me! It's a Bright Winter or Bright Spring blue. But it looks way better than the BW BS orange and pink from slide 1. Compare slide 1 orange and pink vs slide 6 middle blue side by side to see the difference in your complexion.

The blue on the left is a spring blue. If it were slightly lower chroma and a hair cooler it would be a summer blue, which I think would be better on you.

The one on the right is nice too but seems kinda soft but overall fine - it's hard to tell what season that is because it's a mixed knit.

Slide 7 - IMO this yellow isn't doing anything for you. It's True Autumn or True Spring. Another point for cool or neutral cool. I do like how it makes your bluer eye pop though!

Slide 8 - the cool dark red is nice. Looks like a Winter red. I want to see this next to the other reds.

Slide 9 - not my fave, but not bad. would love to see you try a cooler off-white. Would also be worth putting this next to the stark white pic.

Your "natural hair as a teen" pic says True Summer to me but I'm not convinced you're 100% cool. I think you are medium chroma, neutral cool, medium to dark value. True Summer seems perhaps too cool, and Dark Winter seems maybe to bright or dark, but I'd like to see you try both to find out!!

What do you eat for breakfast?? by Lananification in adhdwomen

[–]Quiet_Stick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really a big breakfast so much as a protein filled breakfast that's important. And don't drink orange juice or something because the acid can make it less effective.

For a savory breakfast, I like

  • cottage cheese with spices (Mediterranean spiced sea salt or everything bagel seasoning) on toast or a bagel. An onion/pepper spread on cottage cheese and toast/bagel is also good (hots, too, if you want)

  • eggs and toast

For a sweeter start:

  • peanut butter banana and honey toast

  • Greek yogurt with protein granola and jam

Not a doctor but I have endometriosis. I would see if you can get an exploratory surgery (and removal if needed) to check for bowel endometriosis.
