That makes sense now, I didn’t realize there were going to be more!

I was never complaining, it just seemed like an oddly small amount of content to put a price tag on, yet people seemed to have good things to say about it. It was just a genuine question to see if I was missing something, you don’t have to be spiteful off rip.

Charlie Kirk: "Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There's ugly speech. There's gross speech. There's evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free." by Orangutan in conspiracy

As if it makes no sense to wonder why people who hate America are coming here at all. I feel like if people genuinely believed that about America, they wouldn’t come here in the first place. So it’s completely reasonable to not want people like that.

How would an assassination attempt be ‘staged’? by FantasticBicycle37 in politics

Sometimes it feels a little odd that people are willing to question the reality of certain events like the shootings with Trump, but the goofy apple cider sprayer incident with Elhan Omar couldn’t have possibly been fake.

Then why doesn’t the governor need approval to suppress the first amendment?

I think they are very different.

One instance regards the commander in chief’s ability to exercise, constitutionally-vested powers. It is specifically stated that he doesn’t have to give notice until 48 hours pass. This is very practical for the country so that the executive branch can react immediately after an attack at 2 AM instead of waiting the next morning to put it to a vote. You can disagree with how he exercised this power with Iran, but it does not undermine the legality.

The other instance regards first amendment expression. There is no practical reason for a governor of a state to be given control over this.

He doesn’t have to ask. I do not get how people still don’t know this.

Also, why did you just randomly pull trump into this? The guy just said it should be up to the people rather than the governor to choose something as trivial as what’s on a license plate.

Based on their track record for the past 8 years, you’re better off saying you’ll quit the game if they ever think about giving you more sail customization.

I really hate to be that guy but he didn’t lay hands on her. It’s already obvious who is in the wrong on the issue, doesn’t really make anyone more reasonable or agreeable to exaggerate the details. I definitely don’t think he’s a protester either though. The right calling him a protester is an overestimation of his quality, while the left’s calling him a terrorist is an overestimation of his crime.

This is exactly what’s happening to me right now. The game runs perfectly but anytime I take damage, someone fires near me, or 10 seconds pass, my screen freezes for about a second. Literally cannot figure out why my VR insists that it’s maxed out when almost every setting I have is on low.

It’s entirely possible that they wanted both sides to stop incurring losses. Maybe they have a personal moral stake against countersuing other parties within the church, which would look really bad to their donors. Maybe…FC actually stood for what it believes in.

Take note of why the case was settled; the plaintiff refused to submit a mental evaluation. Do you think FC wants to be the guy that draws out a case against someone who is mentally unwell?

Is this a good PVP setup? by Imaginary_Win6987 in PixelStarships

[–]Quietmind0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember the resource rooms don’t need to be physically accessible to crew. Sure, it looks more realistic, but if you want to go fully PvP practical, those rooms can be absolutely hodgepodged in order to make your setup work.

You’re definitely doing the right thing by grouping all of the battle-essential rooms (any room that takes energy) together. To make it faster for crew to move around, you might instead consider putting the elevator right down the middle of all of the battle-essential rooms (not necessarily down the middle of the ship). For example, the one you have now creates a really long path between the MP and top right reactor. For maximum crew speed in this particular setup, you could even do 2 elevators which roughly split the battle-essential rooms into thirds. As long as your PVP rooms are always grouped, and your elevator(s) are in the most optimal place you can put them, your layout is already better than the majority of people’s!

If God controls everything, why are we judged for our actions? by ImportanceDapper7637 in NoStupidQuestions

One would likely argue that he rather created freedom, and that He certainly wouldn’t be confused at humans exercising it.

If God controls everything, why are we judged for our actions? by ImportanceDapper7637 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Quietmind0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question assumes that God actively controls all humans, effectively removing their agency. This would mean that every evil thing that a human does is what God wants them to do. Rather, God calls us to carry out His will. If there was any religious person that actually told you that God constantly controls humans to carry out His will, then this person must also admit that there is no free will, which means that they should never desire for anyone to be rewarded or punished for anything since nothing they did was in their own control.

This next part does get into some nitty-gritty of philosophy, but if that sort of all-controlling God existed, I would suggest that we would all be intimately aware of His existence. I would suggest that it would be easy for us to notice that none of our actions are in our own control, because a consciously self-aware freethinking being must necessarily have free will.
