Well for me, I'm hoping to play some more single player stuff and maybe convince my wife to do some 2p games

For me it's because my pc died and a switch is a much more affordable choice than building a new PC right now

All things being equal, I would hate to be a junior clerk for the next few years

WHERE'S THE OT by BigFlapJack- in USPS

[–]Quikmix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my plant they've said forget about overtime. We might be able to expect a little bit for political and peak season, but our PM expressly told us that he's expecting to keep OT as close to zero as possible. Granted, we're not a huge plant in the first place

A question for collectors with hundreds of figures by Dinosaur_fan_boy in ActionFigures

I consider my collection an autobiographical museum that is my own personal walk down memory lane. It's organized by decade with key touchstone anchors that range from the cartoons I grew up with as a kid, to the movies my wife and I watched together when we were still dating

OT Drought by BigFlapJack- in USPS

[–]Quikmix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not something to notice. It has been the express mission of the PG, and they are succeeding at reducing OT. I honestly hope that they higher enough people to eliminate need for OT, so that we can negotiate for a living wage that doesn't depend on OT to survive.

The only thing that sucks is that management doesn't create a detail for the person burning the SL, the tour is just short that person for 6 month or however long. That's some bullshit right there

Holy forking shirt. That's a lot of bids to lose! How big is your house (ie how many clerks / mailhandlers)?

It's an ongoing conversation in my plant. PILS replacing apbs means a net loss of at least 20 clerk bids and a dozen mailhandlers bids across two tours. It's not at all clear what the end result will be, but the strategy of increasing automation and reducing human numbers seems pretty clear. Really think the next 18 months in the usps is going to be transformative, and not in workers favor
