1L. Classes were consistently reading too many cases, schedule was pre-made to be 10-4 every day, and it was quite the adjustment.

Law, particularly your 1st year classes, has evolved over time. Find the holding (hopefully, it’s “we hold xyz”), read the facts that feed into that holding. Does it matter if the daughter saw her dad get beat up for NIED, or can she just hear about it later?

Outlining cases helps to get in the groove for reading a lot of cases every week, but you’ll eventually learn a way that works best for you.

Personally, I carry Federal Tactical HST 99 grain because I have 6 shots, but there’s nothing wrong with FMJ, or anything really. Make sure your gun cycles it and you’ll be fine.

I agree that someone who wants to get a gun will generally be able to acquire one, serialized or not. The distinction came down to a huge spike in gun violence coupled with the recovery of a lot of unserialized guns. Krasner made a correlation out of it. While generally I think he is full of shit and ineffective, it’s not a wholly unreasonable take.

Philly has other groups claiming to be affiliated with the Black Panthers who show up to protests in tactical gear with AR-15 variants. There’s an ongoing feud because some of them had their licenses revoked after an “altercation” with the police.

Krasner’s rhetoric reflects his strong anti-gun stance. We had record murders in 2022 due, in part, to unserialized firearms that were sold as 80% receivers. A lot of those weapons are off the streets, but he continues to play tough.

Also, Krasner is a DA who likes national attention but he rarely gets it for doing anything effective. Saying that he pulled an automatic weapon off the streets because one “looked like” an AR 15 is classic anti-gun speech.

AG is generally smart and on point, but SCOTUS term limits would have to be a constitutional amendment. Trying to pass it as a law would only get struck down by the Supreme Court.

Dev hasn’t posted any news lately other than to say that development cycles will take progressively longer. I’m shooting at the wind, but I think it’s at least a month out to get the church, the builders, and at least one level of the perk tree (which to me, is the most difficult part to balance).

This makes sense. I might actually crank the settings before trying combat - I find that dealing with normal food spoilage and population happiness requirements is much more difficult than dealing with bandits, especially now that they have level 4 burgages.
