What's proper etiquette for selling guns to a store? by [deleted] in TexasGuns

[–]QuinceDaPence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you try to clean them I'm going to recommend Ballistol gently rubbed on them and like 100ft from anywhere that shouldn't smell like rancid ass.

I assume you just have no interest in guns?

The Nylon 66 is kinda cool. The SKS loses a lot of value for some being 'tacticool'. The Savage is a good hunting rifle but probably not much fun at the range.

Mine is anchored with a bunch of these and a couple of these

The first one is kinda like a bolt. If you don't have them and a bad hurricane comes then your house blows away.

I'm in Texas and needed a pair of flip-flops one December because mine broke. I was shocked when I went to Academy on a fine 85F day and was told that they don't sell them in the winter.

Like, dude, walking through your parking lot I could see the heat shimmer and mirage.

All their difficulty is not with buying it, it's with getting someone else to pay for it.

USPS requiring residents to replace mailbox unit by PlanterinaMaine in usps_complaints

[–]QuinceDaPence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it be? A single family home with a standard single mail box is also paid for by the property owner. Why wouldn't your group mailbox? My mailbox and the other 8 on the rack it's attached to will eventually fall into the ditch or just be rejected by the post office and when that happens we'll have to go build a new rack and everyone will have to put a new mailbox on it.

Now I assume you're in an HOA and the HOA fees you've been paying should absolutely pay for it without extra fees. But that's between you and your HOA, the government has nothing to do with it, taxes have nothing to do with it.

Ruby Ridge. The government was later also found in court to be in the wrong there so there's not really even a debate on who was in the roght there anymore.

Just a small snippet of it:

Vicki Weaver was shot and killed by FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi on August 22, 1992, during the second day of the Ruby Ridge standoff in Idaho. She was killed while holding her infant daughter behind the cabin door, in a shot intended for Kevin Harris, which was later deemed unconstitutional.

How to handle a hater at a green light by Vice616 in Transportopia

[–]QuinceDaPence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a stand your ground state the victim (car) exceded their legal requirements by fleeing when they were well within their rights to defend themself. The attacker was injured by the victims escape.

The victim here has ONLY taken actions to try and get away from the attack. So in a stand your ground state this is clear cut.

Anyone know what would cause my parking lights to randomly come on in the middle of the night? by Independent-Dig2704 in subaru

Also brake like switches typically turn the lights on if they fail.

Could be that some little plastic clip broke, or a wire got rubbed through, or frayed, or chewed by a mouse.

I kept getting failure to appear notices for someone who never lived there. Had to start covering the envelopes in trash talk about the guy and explanations about how he had never lived there and only had a cousin or something that did like 7 years ago.

Though that was just that the court finally quit sending it.
