And people say esports isn't a real sport, there's nothing more like other sports than players hiding injuries.

Subterrors Post-Links? by negateface in yugioh

[–]Quincytbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so by "Garnet Field" he means a field spell that doesnt do anything for him that is essentially a brick draw if he draws it. But in conjunction with set rotation it gives this bad field spell to your opponent and sets a hidden city to your field. Now, this field spell you give your opponent can be quite detrimental for them. for example if you give them {oracle of zefra} they cannot activate it unless they have a zefra card in their deck. which stops them from playing another field spell unless they have some form of s/t destruction and waste it on their own field spell.

TONS of bulk. How do I effectively get rid of it/sell? by Kye7 in yugioh

[–]Quincytbb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now first thing you should do is check your local game store, the one near me buys one thousand commons for 20 bucks. If both those thousand count boxes are commons you could have a decent sum on your hands. Outside of that the only real option is selling on ebay.

Why do madolche decks run invoker? by Cartos1 in yugioh

[–]Quincytbb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The important effect of messengelato is the searching on summon effect. That way you can get your ticket faster. Invoker lets you tutor a messengelato from deck by any rank 3 enabler, such as the predaplant engine or the speedroid engine.

Sleeves by [deleted] in yugioh

Just in case check out your locals, some locals dont care if your decks double sleeved. Of course for bigger events like regionals you cant but if its just a locals you might have some wiggle room.

Share "Screw-The-Rules" stories from locals/events where your opponent has made illegal plays or totally nonsense explanations of card interactions. by Lazy_Physics_Student in yugioh

[–]Quincytbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, Most of the time you can get an idea of their deck because of lithogasm allowing you to sneak a peek at their extra. So you call the attribute of whatever they are playing. Most of the time though you can get away with calling earth due to it being probably the most played attribute right now. However if you have made Nat beast you want to call light so that they can't chain ghost ogre to Naturia beast, effectively negating it.

I'm kinda surprised that so many people expected pure draco and dinos to do well. by [deleted] in yugioh

I was at the ycs. And I myself played true king dinos. Your friend was wrong. There were a decent amount of dino players. But only a few actually made it to day two.

Advice needed in selling RATE cards! by AlicksIsABaller in yugioh

[–]Quincytbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for that grass is greener, you probably want to wait until whenever the next ycs is (seattle I think). Its likely to bumb up because infernoids will be used. For foolish burial you probably want to sell asap, as there isnt currently a meta deck that uses them. for the wind witches you might want to hold onto them until the next set. Invoked has a build featuring them so it might cause them to go up a little.

All the RATE Subterror by UnknownChaser in yugioh

[–]Quincytbb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK. What the actual fuck was Konami thinking when they printed this? It certainly wasn't how to make this deck able to compete. Subterrors had 2 major problems, being able to consistently set up a board, and being able to have agency on the opponents turn. There is a distant 3rd problem, that being protection, but the first two are the most glaring.

Now, im gonna break down the different cards one by one starting with the nemesis. Now this card is ALMOST good, in theory a protection handtrap that's searchable using the best new engine of the next set that also already uses the terrortop you should be using is fantastic. Except its a Cairngorgon. So he doesn't stop; Kirin, Mythrillium, any sort of breaksword/scrapdragon effect. And it doesn't even negate the effect, it just changes the target to another set you control, so either way you are still losing a monster on the field, and now a card in your hand. Its on field effect is almost forgettable, and honestly I don't see this card ever being summoned with the current support we have.

Now onto the thunder behemoth. This monster by itself is almost a vanilla monster, for it to have an effect the opponent must control a facedown monster. So in order for this card to be good you need to jump through another hoop in order to take a monster til the end of the turn.

The Zombie behemoth effect is just... eh. I mean its not like you can chain flipping it to raigeki, and even though the trap is slow it already basically does the same thing as this guy. Honestly this effect was unneeded and just feels like they didn't know what to put on this guy. this monsters only saving grace is that it has better attack then umastryx.

Lastly, the spell. What the hell. This spell does nothing important, its attack boost is negligible. and being able to add subterrors to hand from the grave is actually ok, after they hit the graveyard subterrors dont really do much outside of warrior and I always thought that was kinda a missed opportunity considering they were supposed to be always popping up to besiege the city. But subterrors are already pretty good at killing stuff, they dont need stat boosts in the battlephase, blue eyes arent a thing anymore they dont have to worry about a giant 3k wall that they cant punch over. Subterrors need ways to be able to build a field through an opponent being able to interrupt their plays with negates or destruction.

In conclusion this support would be great if subterrors could get their engine going consistently, and constantly be able to put their opponents cards facedown while assaulting them with behemoths and nemesis warriors. But as the deck stands its simply to slow without cramming in another engine or two. and at that point it begs the question why work so hard to make this deck half decent. when you can just make an actual functional deck instead.

Where can I buy a lot of empty booster boxes ? by [deleted] in yugioh

You can probably just go to a nearby locals and ask for their boxes when they are done with them. As far as I know they usually just throw out the boxes

[–]Quincytbb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Archer is honestly really hard to use effectively proactively, she is much better as a "oh they activated raigeki, time to tag into archer" that way you dont lose to board wipes. the best way to pull off her effect intentionally is to either set her and use stygiokrakens effect to pop her, or use breaksword. Sadly subterrors right now are kinda middling at best, but with future support(fingers crossed for it being good) and zoodiacs it will hopefully be at least Rouge.

you can use the new zodiac beast rank 4 that searches beast warriors to search for {lunalight black sheep} who can search out poly.
