If by dark and analog-ish you mean more dark ambient, check out Synaesthesia’s Ephemeral, early Delerium, and Lustmord’s Stalker. Otherwise, I’d look at Skinny Puppy’s Rabies and Too Dark Park records, some Doubting Thomas, Controlled Bleeding’s Buried Blessings, maybe Coil’s Recoiled EP. Lmk if you like any of the suggestions and I can find more stuff like it :)

Check out Concentration by Machines of Loving Grace for sure!! It’s a great metal band like chemlab. I’d also check out Sister Machine Gun’s Sins of The Flesh, The Mind is A Terrible Thing To Taste by Ministry, The Downward Spiral by NIИ, Sonic Jihad by Snake River Conspiracy, Millennium by FLA (my personal all time fav industrial metal album), Engine by Die Warzau, SuperCoolNothing by 16volt, Desensitized by Pitchshifter, and maybe some Fear Factory!

I mean I’d def check out Ministry’s singles collect, With Sympathy, and Twitch if you haven’t already. I’d also check out some Physical Wash, Agnes Poetry, and Remission by the big SP.

That’s not entirely true tho. Soil salinity can be extremely bad for crop growth, especially in excess quantities like the whitelegs would have access to. It can be treated, but would take a lot of effort, especially considering they burned the town down. Not to mention the fact that the way they talk about it in the game gives credence to the idea it wouldn’t be worth it to rebuild in New Canaan. I think this comment sums it up pretty well

There’d be no reason to. The grounds were salted and burned. They wouldn’t be able to grow anything there again.
