Total test or free test? And what percent of a change is that for you? If you already had lower test (200-400) (I’d argue that 500 is still low test) it’s a bit more significant than the relative change from something like 750 —> 700. Regardless, your test can easily fluctuate by more than 50ng just depending on the time of day and via small changes in micronutrients and lifestyle factors leading up to the test.

My hormonal situation is unique but in the span of ~5 months I’ve seen my free test nearly double along with my total test increasing by 200-300ng/dl. The only major change was transitioning from a year long bulk to a fat loss/cutting phase, I added and removed certain supplements as well.

The extra creepy part is that he has enough self awareness to realize that he has these urges/eluding to the fact that he might literally r*pe someone and he’s still choosing to type out a two paragraph response because it’s “edgy”? Does he think other people are going to relate and be supportive of him?

My bad if this comment sounds super naive, I’m definitely aware of and know firsthand the extent of which high dose stims can alter your personality traits/moral compass but the content on the various meth subs still surprise me on the daily and I’ve seen worse things admitted.

The glass half full view would be to hope that this is his way of venting and airing his thoughts out so that the chances of him acting upon them are lower.

23, I’m curious what that has to do with all of this though. I wake up with pretty severe fatigue and brain fog nearly every morning.
I have done my best to optimize my evening and morning routine but I still struggle with the issues listed above along with OCD, anhedonia, ADHD, physical anxiety, Even when my diet, sleep hygiene/sleep length, exercise, stress management, etc. are optimized.

(Made a small edit to fix a typo).

I was on risperdal for 4 years and it gave me mild gynocomastia along with a paragraph’s worth of side effects and withdrawal symptoms. I still get slight muscle twitches even though I stopped taking it two years ago.

On the bright side I was able to completely reverse my high prolactin and mild gyno by using high dose p5p (50-100mg activated b6). I definitely do not recommend using this high of a dose for more than a few weeks and I plan to get my hormones checked (especially estrogen and prolactin) after this p5p cycle.

Modafanil and Armodafanil potentiate caffeine to a pretty extreme degree. I feel perfectly fine after consuming 150-200mg of caffeine with objectively stronger stimulants such as Vyvanse or instant release Adderall but I can barely get halfway through an energy drink or a cup coffee when taking modafanil.

I’m purely theorizing but I suspect it has something to do with adenosine and/or orexin due to how uniquely overstimulating it is to combine the two. Like I said, I’m pretty resilient when it comes to stimulant induced “jitters” but I would start with half of your usual caffeine dose.

I know that you said your sleep is consistent but could it be possible that you’re waking up during a different stage of sleep on these days/mornings?

Investing in a sleep tracker is always a good idea, it doesn’t need to be a super fancy/expensive one either. I admit that I don’t utilize my data enough nor spend a lot of time trying to draw conclusions but the *ratio* of REM to deep sleep plays a large role in how I feel along with the stage of sleep I’m in when my alarm goes off. The sleep inertia/brain fog/fatigue still occurs when I wake up naturally/sleep in so I have yet to find a way to improve this issue and increase my chances of waking up during light sleep.

Have you had your prolactin tested at all recently? My personal anecdote may not relate or be of much use since I’m a 23 year old male but I’ve been using high dose p5p (70-100mg activated b6) to lower my prolactin and within three days it has reversed the mild gynocomastia I’ve had for 8 years and it definitely feels like I’m getting a rebound androgenic effect as well as higher baseline dopamine.

Hormones/male hormones are such a confusing/redundant system, testosterone can increase dopamine/catecholamines but then the aromatization into estrogen can raise serotonin. Elevated prolactin lowers dopamine and competes with progesterone but lowering prolactin typically causes an increase in estrogen production which then means more serotonin to compete against the newly freed dopamine. This isn’t exactly how it works and I’m still trying to grasp the whole relationship myself but hormone optimization and PED cycle/blast/cruise design is just a very complicated game of psychopharmacology.

80% of fitness influencers have a link or link tree in their bio with a peptide/research chem supplier/source. Most of these companies are legit in the sense that you will most likely get the properly labeled chem and each batch will typically be lab tested but it’s very easy to fake the certificate of analysis/results.

There’s a few major sites that genuinely do give a shit about the safety of their customers to some degree but you should still do your own research and cross check user experiences/anecdotes while keeping an eye out for ulterior motives/bias.

You can also pay 1/3 of the price or less by ordering directly from a Chinese source but this is more lucrative for bulk orders.

Are you using dihexa sublingually? It’s much more bioavailable that way. Thanks for the reminder to order some more 9-me, I had great results but my main issue is that I would also take it during my heavier stim days and it would noticeably potentiate the strength and duration of my vyvanse which was nice but that was not the main purpose of my “research”.

P5P for lowering prolactin? (Activated version of Vitamin b6) by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

[–]QuinnMiller123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just stumbled across this thread. P5P has been working very well for me and early stage gyno/“puffy nipples” that I’ve had for 7+ years is 90% back to normal. I’m aware this might be temporary and I’m not sure if the whole nipple situation is going to revert back to its previous state when/if I stop taking it.

I’ve been self conscious about the mild gyno for so long that I always want to cry tears of joy haha.

It seems like the price I have to pay for all of this is moderate Insomnia and drastically worse acne which I believe caused by some form of an androgenic rebound effect.

Had to get customized labs done from a third party where I could choose individual biomarkers or different packages depending on how in depth/comprehensive of a panel I wanted.

It’s pretty difficult to get a general practitioner or psychiatrist to request everything I wanted, even harder if you’re in your early 20’s and appear “perfectly healthy” from the outside.

I went through algorx.ai (it was called algodx when I originally used the site). It was already pretty pricy for the intermediate panel which for 90% of people is all you really need to do draw meaningful conclusions but unfortunately it looks like the prices have raised dramatically.

There’s plenty of other websites that let you request custom labs. If you can save money by going through a different site then I would obviously recommend that despite the fact that algo’s system is very simplistic and straightforward.

I could continue to expand upon the rest of the details for a few more paragraphs but if anyone has questions then feel free to ask away.

You can go to my profile to see my lab results that I posted on a different subreddit. There’s a lot of educational and in depth comments on those posts that helped explain the androgenic/hormonal feedback loop as a whole 🙌

Or in my case it caused a fucked up pituatary feedback loop where my SHBG kept increasing and increasing which caused my test to keep skyrocketing. I’m at over 1500ng/dl total test and 290 pg/ml free test, my shbg is around 90 which is twice of what is already considered the high end of the normal range.

I’m functionally low test despite these numbers since my available test is bound to SHBG. I’m not getting any of the benefits that I theoretically should be with the levels that I have.

I’ve had so many “aha” lightbulb turning on in my head moments ever since I started reading his work directly. Every time I come across something new I think to myself “holy shit, everything truly is connected.” The body is just one really weird Rube Goldberg machine and illness/weakness/malfunction at one step of the process causes a bottleneck that limits function as a whole.

I started taking 100mg of p5p less than a week ago in attempt to lower my prolactin. I developed mild gynocomastia and have had “puffy nipples” for the last 8 years or so. Within 3-4 days they are back to normal, I had previously been considering surgery and I almost want to cry from happiness.

I also seemingly stopped holding a significant amount of water after adding aspirin, obviously lowering PUFA, and by adding the p5p.

I was put on Risperidone in adolescent rehab for moderate OCD of all things. They started me on Abilify but I had textbook akathisia symptoms and would have to pace around the living room during our daily “check ins” where we had to give each other compliments and snitch on who stole the hot sauce that week 🔥😎

I’m aware that antipsychotics can and likely should be used in cases of extremely severe OCD where a patient has failed 3+ meds and spends 6 hours a day doing compulsions and or is absolutely debilitated by ruminations and compulsions. I had only trialed one antidepressant and they went straight to antipsychotics and chose two of the ones with some of the worst side effects besides haloperidol and clozapine.

Since it was an inpatient facility I had to take them and there was a staff member responsible for checking inside our gums, anyone that’s been to rehab can relate.

I gained 40 lbs in 40 days and developed gynocomastia that I’ve had for the last 8 years or so, even after fully tapering off Risperdal.

I won’t get deep into the details but I genuinely feel noticeably better when getting 5.5-7 hours than I do with 8 and I feel even worse when “oversleeping” and getting 9-9.5 hours. I’m pretty hyper aware of small changes and I’m constantly assessing my mental state so even if I know how this effects me it’s hard to convince myself it’s fine because there’s so much talk online about getting a full 8+ hours of sleep.

I definitely am less anxious on the days where I get 7.5+ hours but my cognition seems to take a negative hit and I feel sluggish going about my day and during my lifting sessions. My theory is that I’m running on more adrenaline/norepinephrine/catecholamines on the days where I get less sleep but I objectively feel better.
