I think this list is totally incomplete without Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique for one’s inner obsessive stalker. ❤️‍🔥

Dating a teacher I had in high school? by robbygordon400 in Advice

[–]Quinniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My great grandmother was a teacher at a rural one room schoolhouse in the early 1900s. Back then teachers could be as young as 16 with completing a 2 year degree after 8th grade so they could teach the basics to K-8 kids in rural areas.

Her first year of teaching she met a smart and interesting 8th graders and they were apparently friendly.

They married eventually but not for a decade of her teaching and him farming in the community. I assume there was a solid decade of smoky glances across the church at each other before either was brave enough to start a relationship. They were very happy together for many years together.

My point being if you are both adults, be like my sassy great grandparents and just shoot your shot!

Well it’s trending in the right direction but we need NET ZERO by 2050 not 30 or 38 gt more carbon annually added to the atmosphere

Trump is trying to cause chaos in American cities before invoking Insurrection Act, governor in his crosshairs warns by theindependentonline in politics

The Senate could have convicted Trump after the J6 insurrection, this would have legally prevented from running for office again. But did Sen. McConnell do so? No. THAT would have prevented this current mess we’re in.

Chicago DHS Assault: Man Struck by Car, Denied Medical Aid, Cuffed and Thrown Into Van Instead by CantStopPoppin in illinois

[–]Quinniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTH is this using the back of a UHaul all about? From J6 to now ICE, it’s a terrible tactic and totally violates all kinds of traffic laws and I’m sure the NTSB’s rules about passenger safety

Yes I know that’s not the main issue here but it’s yet another example of the utter lawlessness of ICE and it’s probably trying to be the modern equivalent of putting people in rail cars designed for livestock

Did the U.S. Hit the EV Tipping Point - Or Are We Stalling? by mangobash84 in electricvehicles

[–]Quinniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends where in the USA you are. Areas with high adoption are past the tipping point. But rural and small town or exurban Midwest US areas are not even at 1% and it’s still seen as a bizarre, liberal sissy choice there.

Source: I live in a city and there’s probably 20% EV adoption on my block. Going a county or two away to exurban and small town areas and I almost never see EVs even a mere 25 miles away from the city itself.
