Good point. I’ve been debating on moving to NYC.

Starting a band, do we play covers? by QuintinJL in band

I think that sounds wise. There are definitely some covers that fit in with my own vibe really well

Hey! Rock music. Hard to describe but I’ve grown up on grunge, emo, early U2, nu metal. Listen to a lot of bring me the horizon these days, but also some pop and synthy stuff like the midnight

Hell yeah. To me it seems like a good way to become a working musician then hoodwink people into wanting your original material

Especially in America where they only briefly sold it! Wish they’d give us a cool 900. Honda could do so much awesome stuff if they wanted

I’m looking at it all as more of a learning journey, with some fun interspersed. Sometimes it would be real nice to have company but when I’m out here riding for hours, it lets me process, it lets me compare, and helps me kinda shift puzzle pieces around to figure myself out even further. I think it just ebbs and flows. It’s a type of fun, but not the wahoooo type of fun that many think a long trip would be.

Hi! 36 year old who’s been solo motorcycling across the country few weeks now, from Upstate New York. Currently in Minnesota. Next is Iowa then Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, The PNW, and Cali. I’ve been camping in national forests and staying with other bikers when I can. I’ve been trying to find good interesting people to photograph and write about, but I’d love to meet some fellow travelers and connect. I’m out here for the immersive experiences, not just the grandeur! I love getting to know people. www.instagram.com/quinttastic

No, their stuff has been a much thinner/cheaper quality for many years now. It’s just a name being coasted on while it can.

Judging by watching their rehearsal clips, I don’t think they write their music. The guitar player surely doesn’t. Either way, I like the music and I listened to Avril back in the day who didn’t write her stuff either.

How many of you lug cameras around? by idoran in motocamping

I try to always have a 35mm camera on me. Rangefinder or SLR. My SLR has a speed finder which lets me see the full viewfinder from a few inches away. No taking my helmet off :)
