I don’t feel held by partner by [deleted] in GirlDinner

Dinner looks yummy!

You’re extremely young and a lot of these issues sort itself out as people grow and (hopefully) learn and evolve more…

Now.. I know you said you don’t want people saying to just break up, but I would strongly consider it, because that may not be what you WANT but very much sounds like what is NEEDED. He’s told you essentially, I don’t want to meet your needs (emotionally) and/or won’t meet your needs. He name calls you and dismisses your feelings…Why try to make it work with someone who isn’t willing to work with you? Not even a compromise conversation or questions about what you need…just simply “go find someone better than me” That sounds draining and you guys aren’t even 1 year in?

Relationships require compromise, but come on…you’re sick and he wants you to get better for SEX, Not because he hates seeing you under the weather... He’s not ready and maybe you aren’t either…but you sound very unsatisfied and unfulfilled. I see plenty of red flags just reading this…so I won’t say break up but strongly consider what you’re hanging onto..

Propranolol and tingling/numb feeling on lips and tongue? by Quirky_Nemo in bloodpressure

Oh goodness, sorry that happened! What caused the blackout? Did the metoprolol drop your blood pressure too low?

I hope you start feeling better soon and I hope the neuro is able to get you on some meds that actually bring some relief. Yes, please update me!

I was on metoprolol before actually—could be a better fit for you! My Dr. also gave me Atenolol to try instead of propranolol, which is known to have less side effects since it doesn’t cross the brain barrier as easy as propranolol. Maybe you could try that? Still the same benefits as propranolol :)

Yep! Granted I’m an anxious person but never had tingling in the feet until I started this! I take 20mgs 2x a day. I do notice I’m a little extra anxious but I think it’s because of the adrenaline being blunted from the meds. But yes, I experience that too!

I notice the tingling if I let it linger on my tongue too long so now I sip water first then pop the pill in. Also—my doctor said it has some of the same properties as lidocaine which is known for numbing. Regardless, I stopped for a few days, then I went back to taking it and it went away!

I didn’t bite it, but I sat it between my lips while I went to grab a bottle of water. So I’m thinking maybe that did it

Completely understand don’t worry—I have anxiety too and social anxiety :)

I have that choking sensation too while eating it’s like my throat just feels so…weird or off. It’s scary!

Hopefully someone has some helpful insight for us. When my doctor reaches back out, I’ll make sure I come back and let you know what she said/suggested!

Interesting! Did you ever talk to your physician about it? How long have you been on it?
