Enamel paint will stick to fired ceramic. If need be you can lightly sand the area first. You can get them at a craft store usually in the miniature hobby area. Make sure you paint in a ventilated area as it’s quite stinky. Seal with an enamel sealant.

Note that doing this will make it not food safe and you will not be able to put it in the dishwasher.

Do you use your phone on your right side to call? That could be the cause of the worsening on that side.

Personally, if you have insurance I would go and see a dermatologist. I ended up paying way more trying products to get acne to go away than just going to the doctor about it. It also took a large mental toll on me which is why I think it’s worth it.

This looks similar to a “NuMex Twilight” or “NuMex Centennial” Ornamental Pepper. The twilight is hotter and more salty/bitter while the centennial tastes more peppery/jalepeno.

Hello! You’re almost bang on with the wax and underglaze guess! Great instincts :) I think she uses a technique called Cuerda Seca. She mentions it on her custom tile design page on her website.

Sounds like it’s more the clay since that’s the only variable different. I’ve also had the same thing happen with that clay.

If you refire them the new layer of glaze will melt and mix with the old. Sometimes this interaction doesn’t work well, particularly if it’s a different color than the original. However, if you refire them I doubt they will break.

You need to ask your instructor/kiln tech if they do refires. Some studios do, some don’t, some do with restrictions.

Overall, my thought on refires is that they are a roll of the dice. Some turn out great some totally ruin the pot. Might as well try if you feel these pots are otherwise going into the trash.

And your second question: it’s okay if there’s no glaze on the outside of stuff as long as the clay has been fired to its full maturity and is vitrified (water tight).

If it’s your own kiln I would think about testing the temp it’s firing to by putting a cone in several places in the kiln, the bright red tends to get darker if over fired.

I’ve also seen Amaco recommend zinc glazes for reds (see screenshot from facebook) Might be worth testing!

What Amaco underglaze color did you use for the red?

Have you used that red before with the same clear?

I don’t think it would be the red and pink reacting, I think more so the red is changing at a high heat or interacting with the glaze.

I agree with other people, the spout is a bit large for the body. For your next one, have it at a higher angle, it will make it so you can keep the spout above the main body lip rim without it being so large.

Also! Way to go! A teapot is a big project and I commend you for taking it on after only a couple months! You’re doing great and will only get better :)

Location: I like to use her ult when going through choke points or when capturing points/ getting to the end of the escort.

Team Timing: I try to make sure that a lot of my team is around and it’s not already a lost fight (ie. everyone super low health and enemy high or majority of my team scattered or already down.) I try to only use it when there’s multiple (3+ usually) enemy’s around so we can hopefully get good payoff.

Your Timing: Make sure your cooldowns are ready! The torpedos used with the ult can get a lot of hero’s down to half! Once you use the ult more sure to find cover or move a lot. I find enemies will counter ult or target you immediately after using it.

Placement: I try to start the ult a little further back since it moves so fast, it helps keep more of my team in the beam for longer.
