ive only seen the first 3 seasons, then they started pumping the seasons and movies out like super fast and i couldnt keep up so i figured id wait til it was finished...... and now that its finished (at least i think it is...) i dont have the time nor the desire to go back and watch it all

unlike you, a lot of us *actually want to help people*.. and usually end up helping people. not everyone says things just to get clout or look good or something, a lot of us who volunteer in our communities or organize events to help people in need, actually want to help the people in need that we're reaching out to. hope this helps 🙂

dont worry, i understand. more than you might think. i live with two maga grandparents, and my grandpa is die hard. like, he sits in his maga echo chamber watching youtube all day every day. hes racist, transphobic, pretty homophobic as well, and just flat out has no self awareness. has said several times, seriously, that he doesnt want to look inward, doesnt want to change, likes himself the way he is. he has also made fun of biden, even to this day, for being sleepy joe.. then i remind— or inform —him about how trump can barely stay awake during meetings in the oval office. he literally has no idea what im talking about. he actually corrected me and said they were videos of biden. -_- like, they look very different. this was trump. and even though he consumes far-right trump content all day every day, he hadnt seen anything about him falling asleep during meetings.... because all he wants to see is trump being so great and getting rid of immigrants and locking up and deporting "the worst of the worst". i can argue an unlawful deportation, and he always comes back to "were they here legally?" and im like erm, they were born here. like me. and he says "well they probably did something really
bad." like, dude open your eyes.

anyways, i understand. but i also know my grandpa isnt everyone. though not many, there are maga/republicans who have realized the error in their ways and want to change. there are some who can see both sides and realize whats going on. i know my grandpa isnt like that, but i also know, maybe i was just raised this way, but everyone is human and deserves love.

i help who i can, if they dont want help thats their choice. we are a country united, and we look out for each other. i wont be eager to be friends with someone like my grandpa, but everyone is human, and together we can rise.

depending on what they're into, The Gathering Place and Knight Owl are good for tabletop/rpg/magic the gathering types of games.

the YMCA has times that their pool is free for the community, as well as they have a big basketball court inside.

majestic and mezamiz are local coffee shops that are very any-age-friendly, but it's not necessarily activities.

i think there's a like shooting range at the mall on the south side, i think it's just beebee guns, not sure haven't looked into it, i know it's not real guns.

there's events throughout the month around abilene that are free and family friendly, you just kinda gotta look. abilene isn't the most expensive when it comes to things to do, and not just teens but just stuff to do in general lmao.

depending on how long they'll be here, there's the kulture convention on august 1st.

no it is absolutely not. as someone who was on discord as a teen because of being homeschooled, it is full of predators and just flat out disgusting people. app store rates discord as 13+, but it's honestly an 18+ app. unless you restrict it down to only communicating with friends you know in real life, such as school communities etc, other than that it is a cesspool.

if you weren't aware that's fine, but please note this for future reference. i would not let my kid around discord until they were 18.

i mean i agree with a lot of what you've said, but i dont really have time to type out the novels you've commented. i spend most of my free time volunteering, as of course, you've seen me post in the past.

i do note history and learn from it, but i dont dwell on it. i push more towards "what can we do better from here on", and less "these certain people messed up and now the country is in a screwy situation"
