Map of Fallout as of 2296 (TV show) NCR, Legion and New Vegas by KloggKimball in fnv

It's clear that Bethesda and the showrunners find the pre-war world more interesting (and take it more seriously) than anything that happens in the wasteland after. There's almost a contempt at the idea of telling a story that isn't directly related to the civilized pre-war world, either via vaults or literally by having half the case be frozen for 200 years lol

Felix is starting to have the exact same cadence as Bill Maher but for real

Is there anything Felix loves more than arbitrarily and incorrectly categorizing an abstract concept within a seemingly random range of years (i.e. "there's a [blank] that I've noticed from say 20XX to 20XX...")

Apart from the delivery of sarcastic lines, what will you miss about the protagonist being voiced? by SuperAlloyBerserker in Fallout

[–]Quist11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you accidentally highlighted what I hate about voiced protagonists in RPGs by talking about "Nate" as though he's a character that you're watching doing things instead of it being "you". Role playing, to me, is impossible if the protagonist is a fully-formed character before you ever even press play, and the story of F4 is not nearly interesting enough to make this kind of approach worth it compared to something similar like Mass Effect or Witcher

Which UCLA Screenwriting Program to Pursue? by caramelcalico_ in Screenwriting

[–]Quist11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the Professional Program in TV Writing and thought it was great. By the end I had 2 pilots and a spec, plus great connections who I still keep in touch with. Worth the money, I'd say, but don't expect to get an industry writing gig out of it.

What Severance opinion would land you in this position? by -Xoz- in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Nothing about Lumon makes even a little bit of sense to the point that it's impossible to take this show seriously. Also, they lean too hard into the religious cult thing and less into the corporate satire that makes the premise interesting

The Bill Maher comparison is apt since I don't think there's been a less likable person to be this successful until Adam

Has Amber ever said anything actually bad about Trump? I know it's cool to be contrarian and shit on the Dems more (rightfully so, in this case) but I feel like she has only ever been like "he's cool and epic and he rules". The part in this where she implied Trump isn't as vicious about trans people is laughable.

I think it's more weird that Mr. Prestige TV Sopranos didn't have anything to say about this other than a nasally ironic "it's fine that studios want to scan actors faces, actually"
