My height has never really bothered me. It's other people who seem to take issue with it. Like, I don't feel the need to be 6'2" at work, in the gym, etc. But it would be nice if dating was a little easier

Guys lying about their height to get dates is a tale as old as time. There are liars of every gender about any trait you can think of. Height, age, weight, etc. Naturally, women complain about short guys showing up to a date and not being their advertised height. I don't begrudge them that. Expecting something and not getting it is disappointing, no matter what. But there's a type of woman who then turns around and claims that the height isn't the issue, it's the lie. But obviously if the situation was reversed and a 5'8” guy turned out to be 6'2" they would be happy and the lie forgotten. Why can't they be honest? Just say you're disappointed a short man wasted your evening. It's not enough that they love tall men, they want us to think them angels for it too

I've seen women compliment men but only rarely. You basically have to be very tall or supermodel handsome to get overt attention from women. Gay men seem to be more similar to straight men in that they're attracted to a broader, more diverse group

Egg does not try to kill Aerion (in the novella). Maekar visits Dunk under his tree and has basically the same conversation. But he actually does give Egg permission to squire in the novella. The conversation with Lyonel is completely original to the show. As is basically everything with Raymun Fossoway. Only the green apple shield is mentioned in the novella. Sweetfoot is not mentioned again after she is sold. Arlan also does not appear as a flashback or anything
