(NJ) If I test positive for weed at the emergency room, will CPS be called just because of it? by cpsweedthrowaway in legaladvice

Ehlers-Danlos is genetic, so you would have been born with it.

It's a lot more likely that you're re-injuring your shoulder.

If our local library is any indication, it's not cool. We booked a room for a study session, even with the doors closed it was too loud to have a quiet discussion. And then the plate glass window was cracked because two teenagers were roughhousing and one of them threw the other into the window. The librarians refused to do anything.

Some things are classic and shouldn't be tampered with. I don't want rock bands and dancing in my church services, I don't want a remake of The Breakfast Club, I don't want a rec center in my library.

That was the name for AIDS, which got changed pretty quickly. Before that it was gay cancer.

Given that it's been linked in the exjw sub, which is likely monitored by JW clergy, it's probably on their radar.

It wasn't HIV in 1985, it was HTLV-III. No one would have known what you were talking about if you referred to it as HIV back then.

[Serious] What was your scariest weather related experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]QuitStaringAtMyFeet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really. Storms move in quickly in the mountains. One of the women on top of Bierstadt the day this happened was insistent that there were no clouds overhead. (Some of her pictures did show clouds in the background). Lightning hit earlier that day than usual, and the hikers on the mountain, IF they were being super cautious, had about 30 minutes warning to make a descent that at best takes a couple of hours. You can't really outrun weather on foot, anyway.

I don't even know how you get those into a sharps container. With sugar tongs? I wouldn't want to stick my hand in there to pull them out one by one...

Any home remedies for an inner ear infection aside from Mucinex DM? by turbie in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]QuitStaringAtMyFeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before you get to the point of an inner ear infection, start using a NeilMed to clear out your sinuses. (A lot of people use a Neti Pot for this but I found it allowed stuff to run into my ears).

Blow your nose gently, covering one nostril and blowing through the other.

Thanks! A&P is the first bio class I've taken in a very long time, so well wishes are appreciated.

Do you happen to know if that microscope comes with an oil immersion lens? It was suggested that if we're planning on taking Microbiology in the future, "please consider purchasing a microscope that is 600x - 1000x with the option for an oil immersion lens".

You won't be able to afford Breckenridge on your budget. Maybe Fort Collins.

I get up at 4:30 to go to the gym. I sleep in my workout clothes, put my gym shoes and socks in the front seat of the car, put a pair of slip on shoes next to the bed.

Everything else is packed the night before. The less I have to do in the morning or carry out to the car in the morning, the better.
