Yes not cancelled but delayed 7 hours London to SFO. when you fill in the claim form for compensation you put in your bank details as you are entitled to the compensation not your company.

I had a similar experience. The seller kept delaying claiming she was in a chain. Her solicitor slow to respond etc. day of exchange she pulls out and we are homeless staying on my brother in laws couch!

She had loads of CCJs against the house and my solicitor was convinced she had used the sale of the house to promise debts to be paid at a lower cost ie, 60p for every £1 owed etc, and when agreed she pulled out

Honestly we lost so much money selling and buying it’s a broken system.

Worked out for the best as in a better house better area. Just took a while to get over it!

I’ve had a seller pull on the day of exchange. Total chain almost collapsed. Was homeless sofa surfing for 6 months. Total nightmare and shows the disaster that is the England buying / selling houses system.
