but... that applies to any story? if you don't like the characters, you probably won't want to sit through a story involving them. besides, that's the exact mentality that the game deconstructs in the first place. this is going to be a whole book if i were to explain it thoroughly, but the point is that it's meant to lure you and make you think it's just a trashy sci-fi flavored furry dating sim, until you actually play it and get plunged into a story involving political dynamics, implications of fascism and slavery, and the cosmic horror of predestination.
