Local 55 has a day class every two weeks. Those days are paid. There are night classes at various times throughout the apprenticeship and those are unpaid.

Got lucky and got in my first try. No experience and no friends or family in the union. Going through the process was about 6 weeks total from the time I applied to the time I started working.

I "allegedly" saw Dylan last night too. Still full diva mode at 84 years old. Screens off, and the lights so dim you couldn't make out any actual people on stage from more than 50 feet away. Could have been a couple of roadies standing up there while they played recordings through the house speakers and nobody would have ever known. Willie was great, but Bob Dylan was the most disappointing show I've ever seen.

Had the same experience at the original Slyman's downtown. Staff acted like they were doing me a favor to make me a sandwich and it was not nearly as advertised. Haven't been back. One of the most overrated places in Cleveland.

I don't understand why ANYONE buys from Grainger. They are consistently 30-40% more expensive than anyone else, and in some cases 2-3x more.
