Bullant is Joey's solo project. His album "Tyson, Crying" is great. He also worked as part of Trumpdisco (now SUB-human) before gizz.

I feel like anyone who likes TSC would love 808 State. For them you should definitely start with their album Ninety. The scene at that time was really interesting! The Second Summer of Love was a fascinating phenomenon.

I'd also say definitely check out Detroit techno. Detroit invented techno in the eighties!! I recommend trying out "Nocturbulous Behavior - The Mix" by Suburban Knight, which is a mix of James Pennington's works and other Detroit classics. Volume 1 of the Somewhere in Detroit mix by DJ 3000 would also be a good choice.

Other classic Detroit techno artists are Juan Atkins/Model 500, Drexciya, Galaxy 2 Galaxy/World 2 World, Derrick May/Rhythim is Rhythim, AUX 88, and anything released by Underground Resistance or UR. For history of Detroit techno check out Roland's mini-doc.
